My site loads really slow.

I went to go and check posts and do some editing on my blog, and it takes almost a minute for the site to even respond and load. Everything I click takes that long even the admin panel of the blog. Everywhere else I go on the net loads fine. So is this a problem because of server maintenance etc... Just wondering so I know how to plan my day to come back later to do the work or wait a few minutes for fix?

Added: My regular html site loads fine. Let me look at some things in my blog before you (BDH) go hunting. I installed a plugin about a week ago that resets the site to load for cell phones by detecting them. it worked fine upon install but maybe messing up now. So I go look and see and get back to you.

I deleted the new plugin. Did not fix. I ran a optimize program it did not find anything wrong.

1) I reinstalled wordpress.
2) I deactivated the new plugin and uninstalled it.
3) After nothing happened for uninstall of plugin I reinstalled the plugin back and nothing.
4) I deactivated my parallel loading plugin which makes things load faster, and nothing (no difference). I have had this plugin for several months with zero problems, but did this just in case there was a problem. I reactivated it.
5) I went into the website control panel and into the my sql. Checked tables and they were fine.


So I'm not sure what to do next. maybe the problem on your end some how BDH? I'm on my site just about everyday, and this just started today if that helps any. And the only plugin I installed recently I have deleted and it did not fix. Then I reinstalled it and that did not fix. And it was installed a week ago and I have had no problems. So I don't it's the plugin. Also since it effects the loading of the WP admin panel as well I think we can rule out the custom templates which I have used for months now.

After you check things on your end and find nothing I will go to WP forum.

I came back later and my blog is now loading fast. I did nothing. So maybe it was a glitch.

Strange. I was helping out someone on a totally unrelated issue on that server on and off for most of the day yesterday and never noticed anything. Also, the server load and traffic graphs show nothing out of the ordinary. My guess is that your ISP had a temporary issue to Dallas which is actually a lot more common.
