Jerry, Even before I read what you tried to share by creating this thread, ​I found and still find myself seeking answers/confirmations to what you shared here.

There are not many OT/scripture references in our bibles concerning "gentiles" in the context of what you try to share...

This is what I did in seeking resolve on this topic:
Unless you are already resolved on it, I suggest you get your hands on a red-letter-bible, and search the NT/letters and writings where Jesus speaks to this issue (it will be in red text) you will have to search but it is in there, God names that tactic: "diligently seeking Him" He rewards those who employ that tactic !
