    Website photo blog

I put together a website primarily focusing on Creationism. I also decided to include a photo blog, this is what I came up with.

    Red Rock Canyon.

I actually have another question. To get to the photo blog you can go to thilipsis.net, then click on links and it's 'Red Rock Canyon Photo Blog'. Anyway, I called up the page and cut and pasted the address into the link. The problem is that it doesn't work, any thought as to why?

    Grace and peace,
    Mark

Firstly, a 404 error means the page is simply not there. Second, this may have something to do with it.

The fact is that I have had no problem using the link anywhere but here. Like I said, just go to Thilipsis.net, then Links and boom, there it is. I don't know what is going on with Godaddy but they are not the service they were a couple of years ago. I just signed up with them for a couple of months while I work the bugs out of my site. That's what I like about downloading my own site instead of building one with their site builders, if I don't like the host I still have the site.

Interesting. Porn now is a multi billion dollar business. Shortly after the porn industry complained about Netflix taking so much bandwidth that it slowed up their sites, suddenly within just a few weeks, Netflix seemingly does something stupid and loses 800,000 customers. It's convenient that now the multi billion dollar porn sites have enough bandwidth. And since GoDaddy has the monopoly on hosting who do you guys think is hosting most all of that bad stuff on the web? Seems someone is catering to the ones who make them the most money.

The love of money is the root to all evil.

BTW, I'm a Young Earth Creationist as well and yea, I went with Godaddy. Still, trying to have some fun with the site and I liked to website, like the use of video in it.

Video is actually real easy to do. People think they have to put the stuff on YouTube or have a special server but actually, that's not the case at all. We offer some free "3 click install" scripts that will turn a folder on your site (or the whole site) into a YouTube like site ... but even that's no biggie these days because there are dozens of free apps out there that will do the same.

Basically, to stream a video from a site you need two things:

    a. The correct HTML code to "embed" the video (.avi is different from a .wmv or .flv for example)
    b. (optionally) some JavaScript and static images or flash to make pretty borders and frames around the video.
