Well, looks like we're hit....That drone that crashed in Iran is in really good shape. God willing they sent in a nasty little virus onto that computer to destroy all the info that it carried.

For them to have been able to safely land the drone they would have had to break the (really, really sophisticated) encryption for it's control link and then have someone who understood enough about the control inputs to be able to fly it.
This is not a simple matter of having 'jammed' a signal, this is evidence of a significant (huge) security breach.
The Chinese and the Russians will be in a bidding war to get access to this, but I suspect much of the technology has already been compromised as evidenced by the fact they were successful in taking this down.
Another greatly significant fact about this is that it is unlikely we are flying missions over Iran, so our eyes are closed when there is cloud cover or other atmospheric interference...
THis is bad news, and even worse then it appears....

I heard Obama nixed plans to destroy the drone for fear it could be seen as an act of war. I don't know that an airstrike on the drone would have escalated to full-scale war.

Full scale war with Iran would last less than seven days. Iran barely held it's own against Iraq. We simply have no will to wage full scale war.

That's my opinion as well. Would it really be that much of a surprise that Iran manufactured this "proof" merely for propaganda purposes?

Yuppers, just a few weeks ago they reported about the virus that was in the drones....guess we know why it was there now. And now they know how to control all of our drones...like Fenris said, "oh crap".

I don't trust the news or the government that controls the news.
I don't care about things I have no control over i.e a drone used to spy on someone falling out of the sky outside of being happy that it didnt fall on anybody's house
This is all spin and hogwash anyways. If the drone was still in good shape they wouldn't have said a word about it. They wouldnt go broadcasting it over national airways. My guess is that all the equipment inside was damaged beyond repaid due to falling out of the sky at 50K feet in the air.

Only guessing but I think its a 'trojan horse' and the Iranians have been taken in. If it is the real thing the military would destroy it. (they are not stupid - only pretending to be)
