    Don't know what to do

It doesn't matter if I try my best to stay away from sin or keep myself righteous before God's eyes, he never hears my prayers. It's like i'm talking to a brick wall. As a matter of fact, I can't think of one time he has answered my prayers, and I've been a Christian for 14 years.

Please, I need someone to talk to... I don't know what to do.

I'm sorry to hear that your still struggling I know it must be very disheartening to think that God is not answering your prayers. Are you still praying about healing? How about the episodes? I don't want to repeat all that was said on your other thread, but it really does seem like you are judging God's personality by what He's allowing you to go through. It's a common thing to do, but we know that He is good and loving, and nothing in the natural can do anything to change that. He loves you and He hears your prayers, as He does with all His children. I know it can be hard when your struggling, but you must trust in that truth.

I know others will give you wiser words than I can, but I just wanted to try and encourage you. God loves you and hears your prayers. I pray that you'll find the faith to know that

In response to the bold, I have a hard time believeing that. God has blessed me with a good home to live in, a good neighborhood, food and water. But the things I need the most I don't have.

And yes, I still am praying about healing. It's one of the reasons i'm losing faith that God hears my prayers no matter what.

I am sorry that you are still dealing with illness, it is a difficult thing to deal with if it's long term. God does still heals, but for each Christian who receives healing, there are 100 more who do not. This doesn't mean God loves these people less.It doesn't mean He is ignoring their prayers, or doesn't hear them. He never promised to heal everyone of every sickness, but He did promise to carry us through these trials, if we let Him. He did promise that all the hardships we must deal with, will end up working out to be for our good.He has promised a time when there will be no more weeping, no more dying. This is the hope we have in Christ.

You don't mentioned family in your list. Do you have family your in contact with? I know from experience, that you can have everything else you need, but if you are missing loved ones, it's as if you need them like you need air. I also know that this loss is harder at this time of year. If I'm assuming, please forgive me, I'm just trying to understand your situation. Apart from healing, what else is missing from your list of needs?

I know your having a hard time believing that loves you and hears your faith. No wonder your losing faith. Believing that God loves you is a basic when it comes to trusting Him to do write by you. That takes faith, it takes believing that the words in your bible are true. That He loves you and died for you.

Dear Punchy, I have to sign out now, but didn't want to go without telling you. I will be praying for you and if you need someone to talk to, remember you can go to the chat to a moderator forum.

God's ways are not our ways, and there are some thing's we will never be able to understand this side of eternity. At these times, all we can do is have faith that God is still holding us.

Well, it's kind of complicated. The things I need are predicated on me getting healed and getting off my medication so I can live my life the way God intended me too. I need friends, a girlfriend, and I need to go to college and get my degree. Like I said, all of those things are predicated on me getting off of the medication i'm on.

That's what is breaking my heart. The devil has stolen so much from me, and I want it back. I want myself back.

    Punchy,
I recommend you start reading the book of Job.
No one on earth ever was tested like Job was. I'm sure even back then, that many prayed for Job.

Many here will pray for you on your test of faith. Be strong in faith. Look at how Job stood by his faith.

Dear Punchy, I hear what your saying, You have goals in life, normals ones that most people take for granted, but from where you stand, it seems like they will never happen. Can I suggest that , from your perspective, it might be too dark for your eyes to see clearly? That in your sorrow and disappointment, you are forgetting that God also has a plan for you? One that might well contain these things you mention? He probably has an even greater plan for you, one more fulfilling than you could imagine right now.God is able to overcome your difficulties. Your telling Him that you can't have what you want, unless He heals you, isn't that limiting God? If God never heals you, do you think that He can help you get an education in spite of your health problems?Do you think that His arm is not long enough to bring someone into your life, who will see only you and not your illness?

What's breaking your heart is the lies satan is telling you, my friend. Nothing has been taken from you but your faith to believe that God is able and willing to give you a bright future. He may do that in exactly the way you say, by healing you first, but He also might do it in spite of your health issues. I have a dear friend who has schizophrenia, something that he battled with as a young man. He, like you, believed he would never have a family or get a decent job. God however knew different. He didn't take his illness away, but He gave his doctors the wisdom to keep his sickness well under control. The girl he thought he'd never have? He met her 3 years ago, at a time when his illness was not so well controlled. She saw past his illness, to the kind, sweet person he is.They have had ups and downs, but she has stood by his side, and they plan to marry at the end of this year! He is also in school(night classes) studying so that he can help others with mental health issues. He is happy and can see God providing in spite of his illness.

My friend, God has a plan for you, it may be that you are completely healed, but God may also do it another way. One way or another He is able, so trust him, rest in that knowledge, and wait for that door to be opened in God's perfect time.

    blessings to you
