LIONS AND WOLVES AND FALSE PROPHETS OH MY

We Christians were actually givin manywarnings about these bad guys and what they would do. The warnings are allaround the new testament.

1 PETER 5 [8] Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a ROARINGLION, walketh about, SEEKING WHOM HE MAYDEVOUR:

Watch out for these roaring lions!

MATT.7 [14] Because strait is the gate, andnarrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.[15]Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardlythey are RAVENING WOLVES.

Beware of false these prophets. They are RAVENINGWOLVES. Also implied here is that “the many” will follow these false prophetsand but a few will take the way of life.

ACTS 20 [29] For I know this, that after mydeparting shall grievous WOLVES ENTER IN among you, not sparing the flock.[30]Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, TO DRAW AWAYDISCIPLES after them.

The GRIEVOUS WOLVES were there from thebeginning

EPH.4 [17] This I say therefore, and testifyin the Lord, that ye henceforth WALK NOT AS OTHER GENTILES walk, in the VANITYof their mind,[18] Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from thelife of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness oftheir heart:[19] Who being past feeling have given themselves over untolasciviousness, to work all UNCLEANNESSwithGREEDINESS.

Well, I found all these warnings from the newtestament in one scripture. The Day of the Lord scriptures are so great. Since “thatday” has not yet arrived no one can claim that the scripture is for ancient Israel and doesnot apply to christians. Day of the Lord scriptures do apply to christians(those who believe that Jesus came) and these scriptures will come to pass. Tosee what these ROARING LIONS and RAVENOUS WOLVES have done, simply read andbelieve the Word.

EZEK.22 [23] And the word of the LORD cameunto me, saying,[24] Son of man, say unto her, Thou art the land that is notcleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.[25] There is A CONSPIRACYOF HER PROPHETS in the midst thereof, like a ROARING LION ravening the prey; THEYHAVE DEVOURED SOULS; they have taken the treasure and precious things; theyhave made her many widows in the midst thereof.[26] HER PRIESTS HAVE VIOLATEDMY LAW, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference betweenthe holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the UNCLEANAND THE CLEAN, and HAVE HID THEIR EYES FROM MY SABBATHS, and I am profanedamong them.[27] Her princes in the midst thereof are like WOLVES RAVENING THEPREY, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get DISHONEST GAIN.[28] And her prophetshave daubed them with untempered morter, SEEING VANITY, and divining lies untothem, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken

A conspiracy of the prophets. HID THEIR EYESFROM MY SABBATHS! They meant to do it and they sure did pull it off despite thewarnings

I posted these scriptures on another thread (4 shadows) and someone made the claim that Ezek.22 was not a Day of the Lord scripture. He made the claim it was a scripture that already has come to pass. Someone pointed out that we were wandering away from the original theme of the thread (4 shadows) and i ended my discussion on the matter and start a new thread here to discuss it. So, is Ezek.22 a Day of the Lord scripture or is it not.

I enjoyed your thesis and yes this decribed the condition of Judah before the day of the Lord per Ezek. 22:31 I would add that this prophecy concerns Judah before Babylon, but one can see the same decription of Judah in the first century in that there is an day of the lord in 70AD

It is impossible to prove that apples are oranges because apples are apples and are not oranges.

Consider these passages from the Bible (NRSV),

Deut. 4:1. So now, Israel, give heed to the statutes and ordinances that I am teaching you to observe, so that you may live to enter and occupy the land that the Lord, the God of your ancestors, is giving you.
2. You must neither add anything to what I command you nor take away anything from it, but keep the commandments of the Lord your God with which I am charging you.

Deut. 12:32. You must diligently observe everything that I command you; do not add to it or take anything from it.

Rev. 22:18. I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book;
19. if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away that person's share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.
20. The one who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.”

We read in both passages about adding and taking away from what is written in the Bible. However, the passages in Deuteronomy are speaking of adding to, or taking away from the Mosaic Law, but the passage in Revelation is speaking of adding to, or taking away from the scroll containing the Book of Revelation.

I think the whole point of this thread is to try and teach that we must keep saturday as the sabbath.If you fail to teach sabbath keeping then you are a "wolf" or a "lion" A teaching that ignores numerous NT verses that prove that keeping any particular day is no longer necessary.

Col 2:16 . Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbaths

Notice that sabbaths is plural and includes them all. If the seventh day was excluded from this then Paul would have definitely spoke of it.

It seems clear from this verse below that we are to be persuaded by our own convictions and nothing else:

Ro 14:5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day [alike]. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

When this is twisted into saying we MUST keep the sabbath then the danger is that we do not full understand what God's rest actually is,and therefore,fail to enter into it.

Paul’s point in this passage is explicitly clear—Christians are not under the regulations found in Ezekiel 45:17 or any other part of the Law. Nonetheless, there are several religious organizations today that so severely misunderstand the Bible that they believe Christians are still under the Law rather than under grace—making the death of Christ on the Cross a most unfortunate mishap that availed nothing at all.

Romans 7:1. Or do you not know, brethren (for I am speaking to those who know the law), that the law has jurisdiction over a person as long as he lives?
2. For the married woman is bound by law to her husband while he is living; but if her husband dies, she is released from the law concerning the husband.
3. So then, if while her husband is living she is joined to another man, she shall be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is not an adulteress though she is joined to another man.

The scripture above is the scripture used by all the sunday go to meetin pulpiteers to distance themselves from Gods sabbath day. Its also their biggy to eat their piggy. There are many places in your bible which discuss the meat and the drink offerings of the holy days, new moons and the sabbath days which explain what Col.2 is speaking about but they are ignored by the “many”.

[12] WHEREFORE JESUS ALSO, THAT HE MIGHT SANCTIFY THE PEOPLE WITH HIS OWN BLOOD, suffered without the gate.

So why should we judge no man in meat or drink in respect to holy days, new moons and sabbath days? Because Jesus fulfilled these offerings that were written in the law of commandments contained in the ordinances. Its the meat and drink offerings that are no more to be observed.

JOHN 6 [53] Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. [54] Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. [55] For MY FLESH IS MEAT INDEED, and MY BLOOD IS DRINK INDEED.

When we let scripture interpret scripture its very clear what Col.2 is speaking about. The meat and drink offerings of those days are no longer to be kept.

Jesus blotted out “only” the handwriting of the ordinances.

2 KINGS 17 [36] But the LORD, who brought you up out of theland of Egypt with great power and a stretched out arm, him shall ye fear, andhim shall ye worship, and to him shall ye do sacrifice.[37] And the statutes,AND the ordinances, AND the law, AND the commandment, which he wrote for you,ye shall observe to do for evermore; and ye shall not fear other gods.

The “many” have come in the name of Christ and would have you to believe the law, the ordinances and the commandments are all lumped together as one. They do this so they can point out a scripture which talking about the law of circumcision (which was nailed to the cross) and then apply that scripture to the ten commandments. But as you can see in above scripture,the ordinances, the law, and the commandments are all separate. And it was not the law nor the ten commandments that Jesus nailed to the cross. It was the law contained in the ordinances.

EXODUS 12 [11] And thus shall ye eat it; with your loinsgirded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eatit in haste: it is THE LORD'S PASSOVER. [12] For I will pass through the landof Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt,both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment:I am the Lord. [13] And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houseswhere ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plagueshall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. [14] Andthis day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to theLord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it A FEAST BY AN ORDINANCE FOREVER.

Theres one of the feast days (holy days) which are to be kept by ordinance. The Lords passover

NUMBERS 28 [16] And in the fourteenth day of the first monthis THE PASSOVER OF THE LORD. [17] And in the fifteenth day of this month is thefeast: seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten. [18] In the first day shallbe an holy convocation; ye shall do no manner of servile work therein: [19] Butye shall offer a sacrifice made by fire for a burnt offering unto the Lord; twoyoung bullocks, and one ram, and seven lambs of the first year: they shall beunto you without blemish: [20] And their MEAT OFFERING shall be of flourmingled with oil: three tenth deals shall ye offer for a bullock, and two tenthdeals for a ram; [21] A several tenth deal shalt thou offer for every lamb,throughout the seven lambs: [22] And one goat for a sin offering, to make anatonement for you. [23] Ye shall offer these beside the burnt offering in themorning, which is for a continual burnt offering. [24] After this manner yeshall offer daily, throughout the seven days, the meat of the sacrifice made byfire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord: it shall be offered beside the continualburnt offering, and his DRINK OFFERING.

Here we see the Lords passover and the meat and drink offering which are in the handwriting of that ordinance

HEBREWS 9 [1] Then verily THE FIRST COVENANT HAD ALSOORDINANCES of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary. [9] Which was a figurefor the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices,that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to theconscience;[10] WHICH STOOD ONLY IN MEATS AND DRINKS, and divers washings, andcarnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.[12] NEITHERBY THE BLOOD OF GOATS AND CALVES, BUT BY HIS OWN BLOOD he entered in once intothe holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Theres the meat and drink offerings for the sabbath days that Col.2 [16] was speaking of.

EZEKIEL 46 [6] And in the day of the NEW MOON it shall be a young bullock without blemish, and six lambs, and a ram: they shall be without blemish. [7] And he shall prepare a MEAT OFFERING, an ephah for a bullock, and an ephah for a ram, and for the lambs according as his hand shall attain unto, and an hin of oil to an ephah.

The meat offering for the new moon that was spoken of in Col.2 [16].

LEVITICUS 23 [4] These are THE FEASTS OF THE LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons. [5] In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is THE LORD'S PASSOVER. [6] And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the Lord: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread…… [13] And the MEAT OFFERING thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the Lord for a sweet savour: and the DRINK OFFERING thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin.

In all the feast days (holy days) meat and drink offerings were written into the laws of commandments contained in the ordinances. The above scripture points out the holy day of passover when Jesus was crucified.

HEBREWS 9 [1] Then verily THE FIRST COVENANT HAD ALSO ORDINANCES of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary. [9] Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;[10] WHICH STOOD ONLY IN MEATS AND DRINKS, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.[12] NEITHER BY THE BLOOD OF GOATS AND CALVES, BUT BY HIS OWN BLOOD he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Once again, the 1st covenant had ordinances which stood only in meat and drinks

EPH.2 [15] HAVING ABOLISHED in his flesh the enmity, even the LAW OF COMMANDMENTS CONTAINED IN ORDINANCES; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;[16] And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

COL. 2 [13] And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; [14] BLOTTING OUT THE HANDWRITING OF ORDINANCES that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

ISAIAH 24 [5] The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, CHANGED THE ORDINANCE, broken the everlasting covenant.[6] Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.

But in this “Day of the Lord” scripture it seems the many will go on believing what they’ve been taught by their sunday mourning pulpiteers. They will continue to believe the commandments mentioned in Eph.2 are the 10 commandments and not the law of commandments contained in the ordinances

COL.2 [14] BLOTTING OUT THE HANDWRITING OFORDINANCES that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out ofthe way, nailing it to his cross;[15] And having spoiled principalities andpowers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.[16] Let noman therefore judge you in MEAT, or in DRINK, or in respect of an holyday, orof the new moon, or of the sabbath days:[17] WHICH ARE A SHADOW OF THINGS TOCOME; but the body is of Christ.

The handwriting of ordinances has been blotted out. They were the shadow of things to come. What do the “many” claim the shadow was? They say the shadow was the new moons, feast days and Gods sabbath day. What do the scriptures say?

Theres the shadow of Col.2 that was blottedout. The meat and drink offerings found in verse 10. The handwriting ofordinances. It was not Gods sabbath day as the “many” claim.

HEBREWS 10 [1] For THE LAW HAVING A SHADOWof good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never withTHOSE SACRIFICES WHICH THEY OFFERED YEAR BY YEAR continually make the comersthereunto perfect.[2] For then would they not have ceased to be offered?because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience ofsins.[3] But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sinsevery year.[4] For IT IS NOT POSSIBLE THAT THE BLOOD OF BULLS AND OF GOATSSHOULD TAKE AWAY SINS.

Hebrews 10 says it all. The shadow of the law was the offerings (the meat and drink offerings). That only makes sense.

NUMBERS 19 [2] This is the ORDINANCE OF THELAW which the Lord hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel,that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and uponwhich never came yoke:

Before Christ the red heifers lived their lives in fear and trembling, thinking they might be next offering. They need not worry no more.

JOHN 6 [55] For my flesh is MEAT indeed,and my blood is DRINK indeed.
