Hello fellow Christians. My name is Covkeeper30. I am a Christian. I was not raised in "church" and do not consider myself a Protestant because I'm not protesting against Catholicism. It's not why I became a Christian. I am not bound by denominational beliefs and christian creeds from centuries long past. I do not at this time have a place of fellowship; I am still looking. Many believe that I've "forsaken the assembling..." because I choose not to settle for less than what I believe Christ's "True Church" was intended to be. I'm bored with the "Sunday ritual". I'm very dissatisfied with the weekly/mid-weekly experience and in Posts, I will tell you why. I'm definitely not new to this Faith. I grew up in a Christian home with a devout Christian mother, but with an unbelieving father. I made my first real commitment to Christ at 16yrs old and am 30yrs old now. I think that in my humble opinion, I am very handy with my King James sword.
I'm looking forward to meeting and interacting with new Believers on this site. I used to be a member of The Christian Chat Network under the name Covkeeper22. You may google that name and see things that I've written in the past. I stirred up many on that site. Soon after they began to restrict and suspend me from that site, after 15yrs or so of operation, they shut down. I don't know if some of my posts back then caused internal conflicts with the Believers who ran the site or not but in my thoughts, I wonder to this day if there were some correlation. I will tell you all now, that I will create Posts that will challenge those who will engage in discussion with me. I will offend other sincere Christians like myself because of what I say. I'm very passionate about my convictions and in my experience, many are intimidated by that because I'm pretty good at explaining and defending my positions with Scripture. I can guarantee the members and moderators of this site that I can and will verify my defenses with Scripture and will not say anything concerning God or the Bible that I feel and know I can't prove.
I AM NOT the type of Christian who wants to divide the Body with adverse beliefs from the mainstream church. Yes, you will come to find shortly, that I do not hold to certain things being taught today and doctrines that have been passed down through the centuries. Brothers and sisters, my desire is that we be of ONE mind and ONE spirit in the Church. It is not enough to "agree to disagree"; to have my group here and yours over there and theirs over there and let's not get in each others' way. This is what we have today; this is not what Christ intended. The last number I heard was, we have over 44,000 so-named "Christian" denominations throughout the world. That's fine culturally, but the problem is, we cannot agree beyond the rudiments of the Faith.
I hope that this site will not make the same mistake as the last site I belonged to, in that, they began to censor me and discriminate against me because I voiced with Scripture my views against certain popular beliefs. The forums are for people of different beliefs to come together and try to reconcile what is true and what is not. We may have different understandings and should be allowed the freedom to express such with discretion, respect and brotherly love.
