Christianity is unoriginal

A friend shared with me that he can't believe in Christianity because it's obvious we borrowed our traditions from other religions that existed before Christianity. Any advice? This is his note to me:

The similarities of beliefs and religions that predate Christianity. take for instance: Horus 300B.C., Attis 1200B.C., Dionysus 500 b.C., Mithra 1200 B.C..............Most of which were born of a virgin, Dec 25th birthday, performed miracles, known as the Light Alpha omega etc., Dead for 3 days, resurrected.........It seems to me that traditional Christian values were infact barrowed from other predated beliefs. Including the pegan cross.......

The onus si on this person to prove that other religions did not borrow their traditions from Christianity.

I'm going to go along with the general consensus that Satan and his demons posing as gods in ancient times, getting people to make a religion out of it, is certainly how counterfeit religions were established before Jesus was born. If what the bible says is true, then Satan and demons are real, and do influence our lives by lying.

Someone else has already said that Christianity is the only religion which requires you to believe that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life to be "saved"; whereas all other religions require good works to enter eternity.

Christianity also teaches that the soul is a "mortal" (created and can be destroyed by God) thing, where most other religions (especially Eastern religions) teach that the soul is inherently immortal!

You'll find all sorts of differences the closer you look. People like your friend are blind because they can't see their own sin of denying the existence of God. Until they do, you just do your best without being combative and always be there for them! Prayer helps!

But note about the Dec. 25th birth date - It wasn't when Jesus was born. That's a whole 'nother thread, but you could point out to your friend that particular date was picked by a certain church system for a very specific reason, and it hasn't been done away with [formally] yet. Same reason the "Sabbath" for most Christians is "Sunday", too. Oh, and "Easter", sadly.
