But that is only 70 yrs, isn't it, and not thousands of years. And didn't that soon get resolved thereafter? So why would it be taking God so long this next time around, as in from when the temple was destroyed in 70 AD? Could it be that it has already been resolved? The NT seems to think so.
So what? Given that people only lived about 30 years at the time, it meant several entire generations lived and died with no temple, no sacrifice, no priests...
How is that any different from the generations after 70? It isn't.
I don't pretend to understand why God does things. So why would it be taking God so long this next time around, as in from when the temple was destroyed in 70 AD?
The NT has it's rationale. Jews understand things differently. Everything will be resolved in the end I guess.Could it be that it has already been resolved? The NT seems to think so.
"For a small moment have I forsaken you, and with great mercy will I gather you. With a little wrath did I hide My countenance for a moment from you, and with everlasting kindness will I have compassion on you," said your Redeemer, the Lord."..."For the mountains shall depart and the hills totter, but My kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall the covenant of My peace totter," says the Lord, Who has compassion on you.
