I dont get this game at all.
With 2 minutes to go NE seemed to let NY score a touchdown to win the game. This guy waltzed over to the line, turned around and sat in the endzone.

You may have noticed that he tried to NOT get into the inzone but failed. The tactic of the Giants was to keep inching the ball closer and then in the final seconds, score. Then for the field goal, take a knee and let the time run out for a win... or leave them in the lead and no time for the Patriots to drive the ball in an attempt to score before time ran out. The tactic of the Patriots was to allow them to score so they would get the ball quicker and have time to make a drive for a touchdown.

The Patriots plan worked but their return drive, didn't!

Let me get this straight....The team that was behind with 2 min to go didnt want to score....and the team that was in front wanted the other team to get in front. Why not rely on defence?

stupid to give up the lead with 120 seconds left and rely on your attack to win the game in less than 2 mins.

If it worked, and it almost did, the Pats look like geniuses.

    Gutsy play calling.

Kelly Clarkson nailed The Star Spangled Banner. That was the best part of the whole Super Bowl for me. I'm not really a fan of her music but she impressed me last night.

I was rooting for the Giants to win just because the Patriots got caught cheating a few years ago (and it came out that they had been doing what they did for years) and received nothing but a fine over it.

So, yeah, I'm satisfied with how the game turned out.

Right. NE in particular will give up a 6 pointer just to get the ball back, with Brady in mind.

This time they underestimated NY's defense and Brady did not seem to recover from his 3rd quarter sack. I think he suffered a shoulder injury - waiting to find out.

    My two cents.

    Pat's QB Brady's wife:

“You have to catch the ball when you’re supposed to catch the ball. My husband cannot ... throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”

Yeah that's gonna go over well.

Contrast that with Giants offensive lineman Chris Snee, who is Giant's head coach Coughlin's son-in-law. During the game the announcers were talking about how he sometimes comes home from training and complains to his wife that her dad is too tough. Her response? "Suck it up".

They haven't won a superbowl since they got caught cheating...weird. I wonder if there's a connection...

I caught that part about the coach's daughter as well. Spoken like a true coach's daughter. I knew they were already looking for their excuse about a week ago when they let it be known that Gronkowski wasn't at 100%. They needed SOMETHING to fall back on.

I just loved Belichick's face during the post game press conference. I kept imagining him saying "They won't let me steal the hand signals! How the heck am I supposed to win if I can't steal the hand signals?"

Pete Rose was banned from baseball for life and they won't allow him into the hall of fame. He became anathema to the sport. (Except for some fans)

Bill Belichick is touted as one of the greatest coaches of this generation by some fans, most sports announcers and just about all of the folks at the NFL network bow at his feet.

    Makes me wonder.

Gotta say that I was rather bored with her show. But then again, at 50something, I didn't expect her to be running all over the stage. I love hearing her sing, as she does have a great voice (albeit most if not all the set was lip synced). And I'm glad she did Like a Prayer, as that was the first song that I enjoyed from her.
