Re: Please continue to pray for my husband...chemo and radiation is HARSH.

I had to call his onlologist this morning and we had to take him in for a round of IV fluids. He's been far too nauseated to keep anything down since a Milk shake Monday evening. Couldn't eat or drink anything yesterday and was still that way this morning, plus his blood sugar was down to 68. So we spent from noon today till 4:30 at the hospital. Got home between 6:00 and 6:30. They also gave him a big dose of anti-nausea medicine in the IV and he was able to eat 1/2 cup of chicken and stars soup and a few sips of a homemade milkshake. I used lactose free milk and 1/2 jar of Endure Plus to mix with the ice cream...sugar free, of course. (He's got diabetes 2 on top of the chemo and radiation treatments.)

I really do appreciate EACH person helping to pray for Bill. I sincerely mean that...
    My favorite scripture: Malachi 3:16

"Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name!" (Every time we speak of the Lord, or even THINK of him--its written down in a book of remembrance!)

Continuing to hold you and Bill up, asking for relief from his nausea, the return of some kind of appetite and the digestion of much needed protein and minerals.

Praying for Bill to begin down the other side of this awful trial, and complete victory over that cancer.

Asking the Lord to strengthen you and thanking the Lord you are there.

Praying that Bill will regain his appetite and be less nauseated. Praying that the Lord may hold both of you strong through this.

    Precious Judy,

I pray for His strength for you both. Praying for everything this disease is causing physically and mentally for you both. Every time I wrote this before it sounded just 'not right'...But the few yrs back, communicating with you every day I just felt close to you like Debra. I always told Debra I didn't quite understand our 'relationship' but she was like a sister..I feel strongly like I 'know' you too, like Mieke...My heart hurts for you..Just know you and Bill are in my daily prayers..I have great respect for you, such a gracious woman of God..
    Love in Christ,

9 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

    PRAYERS FOR MIEKE AND CHARLES

    UPDATE:
Our son, who is a Physician's Assistant at the same hospital where Bill is getting the chemo and radiation treatments, has seen the results of the CT Scan they did on Bill Tuesday and he has talked with the Oncologist. He knows the doctor and works with some of the same patients. Our son is in the Radiology department there, so he has access to the tests.

The results are not good. All these horrible treatments that have taken such a toll on Bill...they have done no good and the cancer has spread. Its now in his lymph nodes. He'll be seeing the doctor this coming Tuesday. I have prayed and prayed about what to do, tell him or not. And I feel the Lord wants me to go ahead and talk with him. Level with him, that its in God's hands only now. I honestly feel the Holy Spirit has told me, "Don't let him be 'blindsided' on Tuesday and don't leave it up to this kind doctor to have to break it to him." This will also give him two or three days to think about whether or not to continue treatments (of that is all the doctor can do now), which would most likely be even more aggressive treatments. The ones he's had have really taken such a toll on him, I don't think he would agree to more aggressive treatments. I don't think his body could handle it.

I'm trying to get control of my emotions enough to be able to break it to him. Today or tomorrow.

I really appreciate EVERY prayer and ask God to greatly bless each person who is praying and to also bless your household.
    My favorite scripture: Malachi 3:16

Re: Please continue to pray for my husband...chemo and radiation is HARSH.

I'm very sorry about this discouraging turn of events.

Bringing you before the Lord asking for extra grace and special wisdom for your next doctor visit.

Praying the Lord draws you close, strengthens your heart and gives you peace in dealing with these awful circumstances.

Again, thanking the Lord Bill has you at his side - that's surely the most critical thing for him at the moment.

    Praying.

In fact, I'll lay many things aside this weekend in order to keep you and Bill constantly in mind.

    I'm very, very sorry.
I want you to know that I know your deep feelings and sorrow, i went through this with my mother in her last two years of failed treatment.
Much of the strength and courage i have now in the face of life is from my watching her courage and selflessness in her last two years. God blessed me with the opportunity to be able to be by her side during that time.

I will not stop praying for you n Bill and your family, household and friends, i love you sweet sister.
    Cancer is so ugly.
God bless you more and more allowing you to bless those around you in return.

My Sweet Sister, I am praying that the Lord will provide a healing for your husband. I am also praying that you and your family receive strength and love from Him, and from everyone who knows you. And I will not cease praying for you.

    In Him,

    CC

    Psalm 9: 9-10

    Romans 8:15-17
Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.
    C.S. Lewis

You're gonna make a difference when you lay down your life, and in complete submission to God, choose to die with Him in service to other people.
