Re: Please continue to pray for my husband...chemo and radiation is HARSH.
I'm just coming here to say thank you to all for each prayer on our behalf. Bill is very bad. In hospice now and in a hospital bed in our living room. He's on morphine and other strong drugs. Its just a matter of days that we'll have him, it appears. My 3 sons and my daughter and all their spouses are wonderful in helping turn him over or pull him up in the bed and doing all they can to help with his care. They are taking time about to stay overnight. They all love him so very much.....
We are all hurting so bad. I've always told people that 'time' heals, and I know it does. But, sometimes I'm being reminded, 'time' hurts too. This 'time' in our life we are all hurting so bad. I don't like having my tears come in waves, but they do, whether I like it or not.
I don't know how anyone could go through times like this without the good Lord and precious family...and people like all of you who don't even know us, but are constantly praying for us all. The sadness comes in waves and overwhelms us. He can't even drink now. We give him water by a dropper, all that we can. It hurts us seeing him so bad.
I have learned that when we marry and make that vow to love and honor in sickness and in health, for better or for worse, those are serious vows.
Or 55th wedding anniversary was April 20th. We didn't go anywhere, of course. I was just thankful to still have him here. Looks like it will be our last one together. And I'm just honored that my family, friends and church family have formed a circle of love around us.
I'm just hurting and I guess I'm rambling. Thank you so much, each one of you, for praying for us all. I cherish your prayers.
My favorite scripture: Malachi 3:16
"Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name!" (Every time we speak of the Lord, or even THINK of him--its written down in a book of remembrance!)
