Israel Makes Preparations for War

I'm so happy the God we serve has it all worked out beforehand. We live in frightening times, when most of humanity can be destroyed in a relatively short time--with but the turn of a few keys, and push of a few buttons. Opinions abound as to what will occur in the Middle East; and even our perception as to what prophecy foretells, varies among believers. But there is something we can all be certain of, and take comfort in: what was foreordained of God before the world was, shall be; and there is nothing Satan or man can do that will change it. Our God will soon put down all rule and authority in opposition to Him and His Anointed One, and we who put our trust in Him will dwell forever in His glorious presence. God does not promise us a smooth road, or even a physically safe journey. He does however, promise that we will reach our glorious destination. That assurance gives me the peace of mind and courage I need to accept and deal with whatever dangers I encounter along the way. We cannot know with certainty what the future holds, but we do know Who holds the future.

To myself, it seems as if he (President Obama) relates and sides with the Iranians and other Muslim countries in the Middle East, instead of with Israel. His apparent leanings toward Muslim belief leads me to believe that he considers them "kin" more so then he does the Israelis, or Christians for that matter. Despite the fact he likes to quote the Bible when it serves him (normally out of context). That is what I mean by kinsmen, and that is why I placed that statement in quotes.

I can remember the times as a child when the world was threatened with nuclear war and kids were being taught to crawl under their desks, etc, in case of missile strikes. The days of the Cuban missile crisis still feel just like yesterday. At least in those days we had strong enough leadership to work the diplomatic channels effectively enough that the threats were staved off without relinquishing our position of world leadership. There were also enough understanding and respect for the effects of nuclear war by the opposition to see the reality of nuclear war and the reality of a common sense solution to such a catastrophic set of events. Today, it seems like all the games that are being played by other players are for the exact purpose of destroying any forms of diplomatic solutions and there seems to be no concern with what the effects to mankind might be if there was to be a nuclear war.

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, yesterday: "With God's help, and without paying attention to propaganda, Iran's nuclear course should continue firmly and seriously ... Pressures, sanctions and assassinations will bear no fruit. No obstacles can stop Iran's nuclear work."

Sounds like they intend to keep going.

It doesn't help that having nukes buys a country a seat at the table with the big boys. Every third world nation that can scrape up enough cash, can join the Nuke Club. That perception of having a more significant role on the world stage, puts humanity in ever-increasing danger of man's self-destructive tendencies--especially in the case of crackpots with more misguided religious zeal than humanity and common sense.

Israel has possessed nukes for a long time, but has shown prudence and restraint in simply making them a weapon of defense, held in reserve. Israel sought peace agreements several times, but the other party refuses to accept her right to exist, and has never ceased hostile activities for any extended period. Israel has a little experience with attempts to destroy her, and I believe she has the right to defend herself from those with the same agenda today. Obama's inane attempts to reason with volatile, mindless hatred by the use of meaningless, impotent words, has proven useless. Since the same anti-Israel sentiment exemplified in Iran exists among most members of the UN, if the US will not intervene in a meaningful way, Israel has little choice but launch a preemptive strike. Iran's fanatical leaders have expressed the view that even the potential destruction of their country is meaningless against the backdrop of Islam's world domination, so little else but an act of God, will deter Iran.

This is a very profound statement. How many nations in the world have concluded "those Jews are more trouble than they are worth, why can't they just go away?" How many would really care if Israel got nuked?

I would never question the fact that our President can change the facts to fit his every need.

UN inspectors blocked from a key site yesterday.

The main stumbling block was Iran's refusal to allow the IAEA team to visit a military site at Parchin, where the last agency report, issued in November, said there was a steel chamber which could have been used for testing explosives of a type performed in the development of a nuclear warhead.

Yes, true; but if I remember correctly, (from under my desk in those days), it wasn't just diplomacy. Rather it was Pres. Kennedy having the guts to set up a naval blockade to intercept the nukes as they were coming into Cuba, while having his finger on the nuclear button with a full understanding by Krushchev that we not only had the CAPABILITY but we wouldn't hestiate to use it. Krushchev got the message..

Recently we have had or will have General Martin Dempsey, U.S. National Security Advisor Thomas Danilon, and Director of Intelligence Tom Clapper all visiting Israel. They are to apply pressure on Israel not to strike presumably. Which is just sad.
