Noeb, you got it right!

Slug1,
He is not a Christian.
OK... why not (reason)?
Layman's terms... pretend I'm a milk drinking Christian who allowed swear words to escape my lips per the example. You are NOW going to explain to me that when Christ sealed me with the Holy Spirit and began His process of sanctification last week when I accepted Him as MY SAVIOR due to MY BELIEF in Him and I repented of my sins that I had done before accepting Him, I was baptized later in the day (Praise God) ... tell me why I'm not a Christian?
Speak to me at MY LEVEL of milk so I can understand that I'm now NOT a Christian... anymore.
Basically, go back to your foundational teachings that taught you when YOU were only drinking the MILK of the scriptures and you were taught that you would not be a Christian anymore by doing what the Christian in the example had done. How would those who discipled you... break it down to you.
So break it down to a Christian who is only a babe... a week old IN CHRIST, that they aren't IN CHRIST anymore.

Slug1,
Actually, that was for someone else. For post 271-272.

Slug1___post290,
Because you showed that your repentance was false. You hadn't repented of sin. You had not turned from sin.
Paul, an Apostle still struggled with sin. Members in this thread have been hand feeding you the scriptures but you refuse to accept them.
So, is this Christian who you say is NOT a Christian anymore, back to being a Christian when he goes home that night, throws his coffee stained clothes in the wash and as they are washing, gets on his knees and says...
Lord, I'm sorry but I allowed my flesh to get the better of me this day. I know you have begun a work in me and a weakness of mine is this emotion and when that happened today, I swore. I ask for forgiveness of my sin and I ask this in Jesus Christ's name... amen
Now... is he a Christian again?

Slug1___294,
Only his future actions would determine that, not me. I would accept him back, with all the love in my heart.
Dani H___295,
No sin is love.
"He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love." (1 John 4:8)
OK... so then why did you tell him he wasn't a Christian?
God sure never considered him NOT Christian. The conviction of the sin leading to the asking of forgiveness proves that, the Holy Spirit was doing His work as Jesus continues His work of sanctification step by step, one day at a time. Only YOU have been saying people aren't a Christian when they do a sin... NOT God.
Paul (an Apostle) was never NOT a Christian while he struggled. Imagine him bumping into you while he was transparent in admitting his struggles.
Also... what denomination or church are you under... not the direct name (like this is "my" church, I don't want that). I'd be interested in reading through the denominations tenants and beliefs. Statement of Faith... if you will.
Anyway... would you once again NOT accept him if six months later during a moment of weakness the F word popped out of his mouth? Is he not a Christian... again?

Slug1___298,
A man who walks in the flesh is not a spiritual man. To be a Christian you must crucify the flesh, bury it, and be raised a new creature. The new creature will not sin. It is part of God.
Paul was a Pharisee while he wrestled unsuccessfully with sin, in Romans 7. Not a Christian.
