The attacks were carried out on Tuesday night-Wednesday morning (local time) in northeastern Nigeria. The reports viewed mention the village of Bilala (in Yobe State?) and Kodunga in Borno State. They conflict as to the location of the attacked buildings. According to the Associated Press, the deaths were in Bilala. The BBC also reports on the killing of a high ranking Nigerian customs officer in Potiskum, Yobe State, and the death of a Muslim cleric in Maidugari, Borno State. All attacks have been attributed to Boko Haram.
