There is no such thing as a civilian. If it feeds or finances a soldier, it is a soldier.

    I agree!

Imagine God saying... "execute MY WRATH upon the evil doers" and man institutes ROE (Rules of Engagement)... God's saying, kill them all and the ROE stops us from doing that.

Quite true. General W.T. Sherman could have won Afghanistan and Iraq in a couple of months.

With today's weapon capability, he'd do it in weeks, not months.

So sad. I'm praying for the families of the lost.
    Jesus paid it all
    All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow

Sin no longer has dominion over you. You are Free.

Finally, a voice of sanity! I agree with you in prayer.

    Peace

Gen 15:1 After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying,Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

Yes they do. The whole Middle-Eastern intervention is American soldiers going around and massacring civilians. Like when the US blew up an entire factory of workers because they believed there were WOMD in there... turns out it was a toothbrush factory and they had just killed hundreds of innocent workers. Don't believe the propaganda we often see in our Western media.

At least you better hope so. (Look Lord I only butchered those who were already born...what what?..okay maybe I butchered pregnant women too!!!///but at least I'm not as bad as abortionists...)

    Good luck to you

They will never look to Christ for salvation...the message is that Jesus loves rich Westerners and is callous towards the poor backwards people. This is our true witness to the world. All that matters is that we remain safe...who cares for the Afghans anyway? They are expendable. They are our targets.

There is no question that the unborn is innocent. Enemy combatants in war zones? Not so innocent. "Civilians" that are casualties of war? You might want to look back at "the big one" (WWII) and look how we finally won that one. We began surgically striking military and industrial targets only. We were losing. England finally got us talked into carpet bombing the population centers and in short fashion Nazi Germany fell to its knees. Couple A bombs in very populous cities in Japan; surrender came almost instantly.

You were in the Red army?

A bigger dog eats the smaller dog....but dogs do not inherit eternal life.

The hounds of war are not called faith hope and love. There is a profound blindness in your reasoning.

Carnal reasoning is circular...and hypocritical. The reason that obliterating cities works (while killing pregnant women thus the unborn) is that it is brutality that changes the flesh.

But we are called to be transformed in the inward man...not terrify the flesh. Terror victims are not saved through their terror. Terror is another form of death.

You cannot be a minister of death and proclaim Christ. You are with the terrorists.

Why was the Red Army able to push to Berlin? The answer would be because the German war machine and the will of the people to field an army had been crushed by hundreds of thousands of "civilian" casualties.
The dog we beat was murdering jews by the masses. Ever considered the fact that God used the Allies to smash the Axis and preserve His people the Jews?
My view of scripture would actually make you the Big Dog. A man who idly stands by and watches the mass murder of innocent people and does not lift a finger to help is the "Dog."
    You are with the Cowards.

His father's sword he hath girded on,

I'm not sure I ever understood what strategic value Afghanistan has (maybe Mr. Nox can fill us in). As far as I know the only thing they have the rest of the world wants are poppy fields.

And another thing. Next time the US gets a hankrn' to invade another country, go in there, destroy their government, wipe out their infrastructure and smash their army. Then get out. If they want our help to rebuild, invite us in and pay us by the hour.
Afghanistan has a long-stalled, but important oil pipeline project that has been kicking around for a few decades. Strategically, the region is more important for Russian, Iran, China, Pakistan, and India and has been a proxy battleground for those nations for a long time.
