I seriously doubt Benjamin Franklin would give a flip if they strip searched inmates.

Being in jail would disturb me. Being locked up with filthy people with hepatitis and who knows what else would bother me. Getting strip searched would not bother me.

It's only good advice for those who aren't seeking for an excuse to complain about LE.

    It makes it necessary though.

You are welcomed to your opinion. My beliefs (opinions) are not based on brain washing... they are based on "experience".

I find that a personal attack upon my character is considered a "small thing" when my opinion may differ than yours... as odd.

As it's been brought out in this thread... you did grow up showering infront of other men... correct?

I don't think anything of someone being required to strip naked and observed (without touching) to see if they are concealing anything that can be used as a weapon. If anything, I feel concerned for the person having to do their job and endure the observing and my REAL concern is also knowing that IF they don't observe properly a weapon can be missed and if a person is killed by that weapon... the observer could have prevented that IF they did their job of observing... PROPERLY.

However, with this new law... they CAN do their job of prevention/protection more EFFECTIVELY because they CAN force the strip search.
Speaking of character - Paul was stripped AND stoned. Luke doesn't record Paul whining about his "rights" or falsely alluding to charges of sexual abuse. Luke does record Paul praising God though. If only all Christians had the character of Paul......

Also, I agree with you and pointed the same out:

Let's imagine what Peter, John, and Paul would do if you were standing infront of them complaining about this new federal law.

    1) I'm sure they'd remind you of what God had them teach about submitting to the government. I would expect them to begin reminding you about that first.

    2) According to the article, the strip search is to be observed while you are naked and no touching is allowed... then they may remind you of their persecution of being beaten and as we know, persecuted unto death (for some). They may even compare what they went through, compared to "just" being naked and observed.

    3) To be strip searched isn't persecution... sure its embarrassing, humiliating, and if you want to push it... a violation. Violation of what... ?

    4) Then they will remind you of what THEY did when they had their civil rights VIOLATED... they sat in prison and WORSHIPED AND PRAISED God. Not that you wouldn't worship and praise God in jail.... but seems to me, you'd do more complaining about your civil rights being violated.

Amen. We all need to remember that when we are tested, to seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and His will be done through us. For everything, there is a season in application. abide in the entire counsel of God and we will know His will.

The gospel is not about "social justice," it is about salvation from our sins, resurrection and eternal life in the presence of our Creator and Lord. Anyone who would twist it into another gospel are teaching a false gospel.
