Yes, Jesus is God the Son. He is not a created being. He is self-existent, possessing life, being life...not given life.

Christ Himself testifies of this truth so either He is God the Son, or He is a liar, and a liar would not be fit for King and Savior...He would not be able to be either

And in the next verse(8:59), we can see that His listeners knew exactly what He meant by their reaction of taking up stones to throw at Him, He was claiming equality with, and thus to be God.

In many of His introductions He is deliberately describing Himself with titles, descriptions and attributes that no one but God could have.

I think with time and reading of the Bible, you'll see that Jesus is God.
You need to understand that the Bible says God gave His only Son...God did not give a created creature to pay for other created creatures, He gave His only Son...God the Son...

note when jesus teachers us how to pray in luke ch 11 our father in heaven ,luke 21 jesus says i thank you father lord of heaven and earth ,when jesus died on the cross jesus said ,father why have you forsaken me ,note that jesus himself never claimed to be GOD,JESUS always called GOD father .

Yes, He did claim to be so, as I posted.
Jesus submitted Himself to the Father as a man, be He never ceased being God the Son. His instructions on prayer don't change that He is God the Son...He instructs believers, who are born again, to pray "our Father".
With sin laid upon Him, God the Father could not look at Him...it was our sin upon Him, not His own sin, for He had no sin. He paid in full for men and all who believe, are saved.
