Thread: Hello

    Hello

    Hello all.

Probably the best introduction would be to quote my newest favorite verse.

Isa 41:14 Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
Kind of gives a different perspective on those we hold as being giants of the faith. They were all men and women, imperfect clay pots just as we are. Leave it to the Lord to work through weak vessels.

Don't ya love His sense of humor sometimes?

    Re: Hello

    Welcome to the board.

I like that verse also, because it lets me know that God's love for any of us is not based on us...it is because of who He is, and because of who He is, His promises are irrevocable.

Comfort is to be found...we know that even though Jacob/Israel stumbled, they are loved...thus, comfort in knowing that when I stumble, I too am still loved

Yes, He has an amazing sense of humor. After all, He choose me as well, did he not.

Welcome to our little spot on the 'net, Michelle. I pray you have as many blessings here as I have had.

    Romans 8:16
Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.
