    What God revealed to me...

    Hi friends,
Last night, God showed me something that I wanted to share with all of you. I hope this message leaves you with a heart of compassion, and an extended hand of grace to give to others, just as He gives to us.

Last night, I went to a event that had about 30 people there. My boyfriend and I started talking to this one man (he is 26) who was telling us about his view on life. He was sharing with us that money, wealth, jobs, clothes, cars all are temporary to him. He told us that, the true things in life are the things that come from inside (love, joy, peace). I found some of the things that he said to be interesting, but I also knew that his relationship with Christ was not there. Despite the fact that Christ was not in his life, I found that he was kind and caring, he had a passion to serve others. (I could almost see Christ working in him, without him even knowing it). I remember now (after God revealed this to me, it stood out) he said to me "You can't waste your life being shy... your life can change in an instant. You can leave here and something could happen."

As we were leaving, my boyfriend said "you know who that was, right?"... I had no clue who he was. He then went on to tell me that, he was the guy who killed two girls drunk driving ten years ago. When he mentioned it, I started to remember in my head that I remember seeing and knowing what he did years ago.

This is where Christ revealed me:... Just by meeting him, and talking with him, I would have never even thought about his past. Actually, not one thought crossed my mind of what he did (probably because I didn't know who he was at that time) so I had not one judgment in my head about him. Christ revealed to me that.. that is the exact same way that he views me (and you). He doesn't see our past, He doesn't look at me and see the flawed sinner that I am.. what He sees is a creation of Him. I'm made in the likeness of Him and that is what He sees. He taught me last night that, I need to treat everyone I know or that I meet without holding on to the past. I have no right to pass judgment on anyone. I am here to show others the light of Christ. The love of Christ. The forgiveness of Christ. I am not here to pass judgment on people here based on their past or their present. If I did, how would I expect Jesus to view me other wise?

I am thankful that the Lord had opened my eyes last night to a real situation that taught me how to be more like Him. I pray that you would all seek to show that same grace, mercy, and forgiveness that He shows us everyday. Each day when we wake up, it is because of Christ.

    I love you all.
Why are you searching for love? Why are you still looking as if I'm not enough?

It is not possible for me to gain anything spiritual from somebody who "His relationship with Christ was not there". And "Christ was not in his life".
It is a shame that he decided to share all his "wisdom", and you decided to give him any creedence at all.
When people in Christ start to believe the children of the devil, they are manifesting that they are ready to slip into the dark side.

Re: What God revealed to me...

I do understand the message you are passing on to us. It really is a good lesson for me, as I tend to look at a person I know based on his past and not on the present. Sometimes, we can care more for someone we don't know than we care for those whom we have known for years - all because we know and still consider their past actions.

God does forgive and forget our past. Lucky thing for me, huh?

We really are expected to forgive others as we would have God forgive us.

It is a shame that the man you spoke to has not found Jesus and is living for him. Perhaps one day he will, because he has spent time speaking to people like you.

    Thanks for the message.

Re: What God revealed to me...

    Hi Lovex,

I have been thinking about worldly wealth over the last couple of days. I would agree that money, wealth, jobs, clothes, cars all these things are temporary. To run after worldly possessions seems foolishness to me.

I heard a preacher share in one of his sermons, that he spoke to a billionaire, who said to him: "I have a billion dollars, why do I need God?"

Which bought me back to Mathew 16:26 What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?

We need these things to live in this world and our father knows that we need them, but it seems crazy to run after these things and try to accumulate as much of them as possible in our life.
If you think about it, all these things (Clothes, Cars etc…) are just things that man has formed out of God’s Creation. Why bother trying to accumulate as much of these temporal things as possible? Our lives are so short, we may live for up to 120 years, then what use will all these worldly possessions be to us, when we die?

The writer of Ecclesiastes writes in 2:17-22
17 So I hated life, because the work that is done under the sun was grievous to me. All of it is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
18 I hated all the things I had toiled for under the sun, because I must leave them to the one who comes after me. 19 And who knows whether he will be a wise man or a fool? Yet he will have control over all the work into which I have poured my effort and skill under the sun. This too is meaningless.
20 So my heart began to despair over all my toilsome labor under the sun. 21 For a man may do his work with wisdom, knowledge and skill, and then he must leave all he owns to someone who has not worked for it. This too is meaningless and a great misfortune.
22 What does a man get for all the toil and anxious striving with which he labors under the sun? 23 All his days his work is pain and grief; even at night his mind does not rest. This too is meaningless.

It always brings me back to these two verses.

    Mathew 6:19 writes:

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

    Mathew 6:31

So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

God knows we need stuff to live in this world, and he desires Chrisitans to be bleesed and without need, rather than to be in poverty.

Re: What God revealed to me...

This message was not to gain anything from this man. It was to show that Christ revealed to me that I should not pass judgment on someone because of their past. It reminded me of the way that Jesus has forgiven me of my sins and not held onto them. It reminded me of Christs mercy and grace for myself, and that I need to extend that same to others.

I'm sorry. I'm very lost with what your saying. I am not believing anything he is saying. I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe in the word of God. I do not go after what man says but what God says. Please, please do not assume that I was after this mans "wisdom" because that wasn't the point of the message.

This is so true. Have we been forgiven for our own past? Then we must also forgive others for their past or else we forfeit that same forgiveness for ourselves.

He will blot out our transgressions and remember our sin no more!

Your encounter with that man speaks to me on various levels. Thanks for posting it. I misunderstood it at first and so have looked again. I believe God can use anything or anybody to help us. Some of the turning points in my life have happened in which God used those I would not expect to be part of what brought me to a better place and growth in Christ. He goes beyond the limitations we can impose and can use anything or anyone He chooses.

What you're actually saying is that it is not possible for the Holy Spirit to use this person, yes? Perhaps he was being drawn at the very moment he was sharing. Obviously, he was being used to present an opportunity for others to grow in Christ.

If this man didn't have Christ, he is not forgiven. You didn't say that Watchman, I'm just stating that fact...what I believe to be a fact. I'm just using your points in your quote to state this fact and to inquire to see if others don't see this as a fact or not.

Don't worry about the reaction of others.

The point of your post was that YOU were able to hear the ministering of the Holy Spirit as God used the words of that person you met as the Holy Spirit POINTED out what GOD wanted you to understand. You weren't being changed by the words the man spoke... you are being CHANGED by the work of the Holy Spirit IN YOU, no matter WHERE or WHAT God uses to point things out to you that are a part of HIS sanctifying work IN YOU!

Others fail to "HEAR" the Spirit of God and only look/listen/feel in the natural. You heard spiritually to God as the Holy Spirit ministered to you.

MANY in this thread recognize what God did for you and in that spiritual understanding what God has changed in you and expressed in your OP, BLESSES us all and will ALSO bring about change within us as the testimony of your ministering ALSO ministers to all who read your OP and also hear in the Spirit and not listen in the natural.

God will use the "bad" of this world to bring about His will... we just have to be seeing (not looking)/hearing (not listening) the SPIRIT of God when God uses whatever He uses to speak to us.

Thank you and God bless you!

Re: What God revealed to me...

    Howdy folks !

    Lovex
, you have done true-good on this thread and will continue to grow into the likeness of Christ Jesus our Lord, our only-High-Priest and our King.
May God the Father's will, be done.

PJW, when a human repents of sin and turns to God, who does that human need to be forgiven by to be forgiven by God ?
Meaning: how do you know the young man Lovex was writing about on this thread is not forgiven or has not repented ?

    Folks,
I meet many people and have many friends already who have good that comes out of them, but sadly they do not admit or confess Christ as the author of the good that comes out of them.
Even though they do many, many good things, they do not confess or admit Christ Jesus as the author of any good that comes out of them.
Christ is the author of all true-good things.

Buddhist, Hindus and Muslims all have philosophies that lift and proclaim/speak-of and teach good things, but they all are not true-good things because they proclaim/speak-of and teach good while leaving absent the author of those good things, they deny Christ and attribute those good thing's origin as the human mind rather than God.
Christ is the author of all true-good things.

Father bless those who look to you, but have mercy on all of us to glorify your name.
