Greetings and Blessing to all my brothers and sisters across the nation.

In this day and time i feel a lot of people confuse relationship with religion. Whats a religious person? What is a person with righteous relationship with God?


Lets look at the facts from the word of our Father

1): 2 Corinthians 5:21: For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

2): “Righteousness” means: To be in right-relationship with God.

Religion vs Relationship With Jesus Christ
Religion can be very different than having a Relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Religions are man made, and are based on trying to get to God through rules and regulations and works. Man made religions all are based on people's efforts at reaching God and being made right with Him through their own efforts. God's plan for man's salvation and for being right with Him is told throughout the Bible, in the Old Testament and the New Testament. God's plan is not based on people's efforts and good works, but is based on His amazing Love and amazing Grace for us; His plan involved His precious Son Jesus paying the price and cost for our sins on the cross. You need to put ALL of your trust and faith in Jesus and in what He did for us on the cross, and not in any religion or in your own efforts. Simply put all of your trust and faith in Jesus, and accept His gift of salvation and eternal life, and experience the joy of having a right RELATIONSHIP of love with God.

Excellent post! Religion is about the letter of scripture. Relationship is about the spirit of scripture. The latter is what is in view when we are told that the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. I don't give two hoots about rules and keeping rules. I do, however, love my Lord dearly. Consequently, my behavior is ordered after His will. The difference between religion and relationship is that religion, as we know it today, begins with rules in order to attain approval. Relationship begins with approval; therefore, obedience is the result, not the means. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

Absolutely! However, we weren't speaking of pure religion...we were speaking, unless I misunderstood, or religiosity* masquerading as pure religion.

There is no relationship with God until He reveals Himself by His Holy Spirit. Without the indwelling Holy Ghost there is no conviction, no commune, no joy, no assurance, no worship, no relationship. The Holy Spirit longs for the Son to be glorified in and through the believer. Without the witness of the Spirit we have religion; the form, but not the power.

Relationship with God is absolutely free; the true gift of God in Christ....available to whosoever will.

Relationship with God is divine life; it is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost; it is the mind of the Spirit; Christ ruling in the heart, manifesting Himself to His beloved...making them realize how wonderful heaven will be.

Jesus gave His life ...so that we could have an eternal relationship with God.

The bible says, "And we are His witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey Him. (Acts 5:32)
The people who don't obey Him will never have the Holy Ghost, so only by obedience will anyone ever have a relationship with God.
God is not glorified in the lives of sinners.

Is it your pov that any sort disobedience results in loss of the indwelling Spirit for a saint? If not, would you clarify exactly what obedience is needed to receive Him, and if His indwelling is conditional?
