As for my opinion on the subject, I say he is right. Parents should not allow sin to go unaddressed. Rebuke the child as if they were reaching for the handle of a boiling pot of water that could scald them severely.

This is the kind of stuff that prevents people from becoming or staying a Christian. This 'pastor' is out of line. Anybody who stays at that church after what this man has said is morally corrupt. Anybody who beats their child for acting 'girlish' or whatever ought to have their child taken away from them. I'm too angry to write anything else.

I like the excerpt from the sermon myself. More pastors need to speak the truth.

I'm sure the homosexual advocates would rather administer hormones to a boy they consider having feminine tendencies. Oh....we don't dare call that abuse.

Hmmm sounds a bit extreme.
I have 2 sons (grown). If this was the case with them, we'd talk to them about it explaining what the Bible says etc.

Oh Yeah! no sin on earth that you can't punch out!!! Jesus must of done it all the time but strangely I can't track any ref. of this down. No one's trying to use this man's rhetoric to justify homosexual agendas. All that is happening is that his rhetoric is being condemned, which it should be.
Come on now Reynolds, we both know there is a difference between appropriate punishment (i.e.- spanking) when a child misbehaves and the beating of a child.

Truthfully, I don't know the full context of this sermon. I can't find a video that shows motion. I just have my assumption that this is taken out of context. I am sure the pastor was illustrating that "Punch" as a only a male would apply...as far as I know...girls don't punch... they just scratch and pull hair.
As far as disipline goes...you spank a child... not a baby. I don't advocate literal punching, but when I see this behavior, I squelch it and instruct how God intended us to be...Man and Woman.

Uhmm, how is a little boy acting "girlish" a sin???? When I was little I had mom put polish on my nails and put my feet in her high heels. I also wore my dads shoes and tried to wear his suit coats. I ended up going SpecOps, like guns, bugs and spiders still fascinate me as does making girls squeemish (that's kind of sad actually considering I;m in my 50's, still fun though). The sin is found only in a sexual act that violates the very limited parameters of scripture - you must be married as a man and a woman. That clip annoyed me and I'd bet I could make that "preacher" cry like a little school girl.

Probably the same way smoking a candy cigarette is....We have to watch our life and our doctrine closely (1 Timothy 4:16). Hey I grew up with five sisters and hand me down toys. My dad caught me playing with the barbie dolls once and had me put on a dress and play with them out by the side walk... I turned out to be fine too...
