Wow that's a nice warm day in Australia. We generally say that a day starts to get hot when it is above 30 degrees and when it hits 40 degrees it is called a stinker. Last summer was very mild where i live we only had two days above 40 deg C.
Also there are two different kinds of heat. Dry heat and Humid heat. Dry heat is less arduous because it does not feel as hot as it really is. Humid heat knocks you down and almost suffocates you. Dry heat is the more dangerous of the two however, because people are lulled into a false sense of security and over exert and are more likely to get done in by heat stroke. We have had the odd health fanatic go jogging on a dry heat day and drop dead because of it.
