Hear the word of the Lord, O nations, and declare it on the islands from afar, and say, "He Who scattered Israel will gather them together and watch them as a shepherd his flock."
Jeremiah 31:9

Yes i have read the folk law tales that the stone of scone is Jacob's pillar stone and that it has made it's way to the England many centuries ago. But i would be more likely a manufactured tale to add weight to the legitimacy of the English monarchy. And lets face it people love ripping yarns like these.I have no doubt that the stone is very old and probably has been used for many centuries to crown Scottish and English kings. More likely it comes from an old druid pagan ceremony rather than Jewish.
