And didn't that just freak everybody out?
This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

Given that union workers comprise only ~7% of the workforce, I find it terribly hilarious that they claim folks who believe in the right to work, and folks who believe public sector workers should NOT have collective bargaining rights are attacking American workers. This minority of folks needs to continue shrinking...and the greedy at the top need to shrink, too. However, the WI fight is about public servants NOT being able to dictate what they will be paid at the expense of their bosses: the public.

I think that it was the policies and the people they had to choose between. I think maybe when people (State workers) were given the choice of keeping all of their big fat paychecks instead of handing a big bunch of it over to union thugs that they liked having the option.
I think that people saw this for what it really was. The unions vs everybody else.
A whole lot of regular folk have been saying that government (State & Fed) has to cut back on their spending and their asinine ways and start doing things that will help us--regular folk-- instead of just conducting business as usual.
Wisconsin has been a dyed in the wool liberal bastion forever (With the exception of their going for president Regan I think) and this very well could be a very good sign that things are turning around.

I don't think that everything republican is perfect or that the republican party is what it should be. In fact the republican party as it stands is --almost-- as broken as the democrats are. There is hope with some of the younger and more conservative members and a big shot in the arm by the tea party though.
But that is all it is right now. Hope.

Anyway, thank God that Wisconsin voters could put aside political differences and vote realistically. Lets hope that the rest of the country can do the same when it comes time to vote later this year.
I agree. Many people in Wisconsin recognize that Walker has turned things around with his policies, and chose to keep him at the helm because he has shown skill at charting a course through troubled economic waters. Also, while there are differences between government employee unions and private sector labor unions, both are more self-serving than concerned with the general public, and both are undergirded by a symbiotic financial relationship with politicians. The majority of the people of Wisconsin looked beyond political affiliations, and chose what was best for the entire state, rather than a special interest group.

When we stand before the Judgment Seat, we will have retained only two things from our earthly life: what God gave us, and what we did with what He gave us.

No, no. The person who slapped Barrett was a woman who was upset he conceeded before all counties had closed the polling stations. The person I (and BrianW) was talking about was a guy who was basically whinning that they lost. Again, quite hilarious.

Well when you lose in the city you were mayor of, even the dull of wit should be able to read the writing on the wall.

Follow-up: According to Rassmussen polling, Romney now leads Obama in Wisconsin, 47-44.

Romney needs to put the brakes on until after the Democratic convention. If he starts looking too good, Obummer will dump Biden and put Hillary on as V.P.

Would she even be willing to play second fiddle to this guy?

Especially since (although I wouldn't vote for her) everyone knows she would be a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE improvement over BHO.

Re: Governor Scott Walker Wins Wisconsin Big Time

I love watching Obama's people and the DNC play this off like it's no big deal and how it actually helps them. "This sends a big message to Scott Walker," they say. Obama and them should be shaking in their boots. Scott Walker did everything Obama would NEVER do, and it worked for Wisconsin. The unions were put in their place and Obama was sent a strong message: We want hope and change that you can't deliver.
