We REMAIN in that purity by walking always in the very presence of God. If one does this it is impossible to sin. Otherwise we will still be sinning when we are in God's presence for all eternity.
Shall we continue to sin who are dead to sin? If we abide in Christ shall we not walk exactly as Jesus did on earth?
You really must look more closely at the power available through the sacrifice of God's own Son.
Yes, as long as we are obedient to the Light we will not sin. Nevertheless, I do not claim to have lived a sinless life since conversion, though you are correct when you say that when we confess our sins they are all washed away and we are cleansed from all unrighteousness. Additionally, We can be as free from sinning as our faith and degree of consecration to God allow and as far as we reckon ourselves alive to Christ and dead to sin. Lack of faith, lack of consecration, and spiritual immaturity is what leads to sin, so as our faith, dedication to God, and growth increases, so will our Holiness.
I do not claim to have attained perfection in my walk, but I am following after holiness as the scriptures exhort, and I am in the process of perfecting holiness in the fear of the Lord.
1 John 1:7- But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
2 Corinthians 7:1- Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
