Mens sien dit al meer, maar wat presies is Goth en waar het dit ontstaan?
Lees mens webbladsye dan lyk dit of daar verskille in mening is, oor presies waar Goth's ontstaan het en wat hulle kleredrag betref en selfs watter musiek hulle sou luister. Tog is daar een enkele ding wat uitstaan en alle Goth's is hieroor eens, 'Goths all have one thing in common…that they find beauty in what others consider dark'.

Dit is goed om na inligting te kyk wat 'n Goth persoon self onderskryf en in die boek van Rebecca Schraffenberger, Goth: Undead Subculture, skryf sy byvoorbeeld die volgende oor tipiese karakter-eienskappe van 'n Goth [Bron],
