You have to take the good with the bad. That's the nature of free will. Maybe they see some of their descendants doing something good and it makes them happy.

Its always funny what we do and do not accept out of this parable. Some who take it as literal would never believe specifics about it. For instance, I've never heard one Christian, not even one, believe they will go to Abraham when they die.
