The Alpha Course

The Vicar of the church that I go to started a what's the meaning of life type course a number of years ago called 'The Alpha Course' it has had amazing results over here in the UK, how is it doing in the states or has no one across the pond heard of it?

I used to teach the youth version of it Quite a few years ago now though.I'm in the UK, but I lived in the US for a while, and I saw that a lot of churches were doing it. I also know a lot of folks who have been through the course, on both sides of the pond..

It would be interesting to see what results they are having over there. I think it was a really inspired idea, got people thinking about the reason for existence and life without bible bashing in the first instance.

Our church offered it this past spring, and in previous years. I've noted other churches offering it as well (this is in Vancouver area, Canada). I don't know the results, but I understand it went well. Hopefully at the least, seeds have been planted.
