    nice going, supremes....
The Supremes made it clear the law couldn't stand as a penalty under the Commerce Clause; it can only stand as a tax. Seems to me if they want it to be a penalty, the only honorable thing to do would be to repeal the law as unconstitutional.

But we all knew underneath it was really a tax. After all, who is charged with enforcing it? The IRS of course.

It's not a tax, but the IRS is in charge of enforcment, its amazing what this administration will do. Its even more amazing that some will believe this.

Things are becoming a little pointed in the direction of Chief Justice Roberts and the fact that there very possibly was intimidation involved. The following link has to do with the threats Senator Patrick Leahy (D-Vt) made to Roberts and also mentions the possibility that there was some influence from the White House.

If that is found to be true, then what can be done about it?
Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.

Absolutely nothing. The ruling is the ruling and it will be eternally ensconced in precedent setting SCOTUS case law.

In the long term, hiring people who respect the constitution and won't be swayed by intimidation or other sins is going to be critical to holding this country together. One or two justices could retire during the next president's term.

If this is true, 1) it wouldn't be surprising, and 2) what wouldn't this regime do to push their agenda/plan/etc. through?

    And people applaude this. Sad.
