Yep...I am currently avoiding the crowd after driving through. I wish I lived on a hill though.

Something interesting today:
As a volunteer to register people to vote, I asked a women, maybe 45 yo. if she was registered.
She said, "I've lived here for 18 years and I have never or will never register" I said, "The United States?" (As in 18 years in the U.S. cause I didn't understand what she was saying exactly)
I was blown away by peoples defensive anger today, by a simple question, and then so relieved by many who thanked me for asking.

I wonder what people did before fireworks and potato salad? I guess I could look it up...
