Two oh so simple commands to understand, we get so caught up in doctrine, but you don't need a degree in Greek and Hebrew to put into action the very essence of Our Lords Message, two commands that cover everything.
    Thankyou you for posting.

I agree with Clabevan. It is so simple, yet we make it so confusing.

I also pray that we would love each-other with deep Godly love that is rooted from the inner most part of our hearts. Lord, help us to not judge, condemn, gossip, or ridicule the human beings that You have created with Your precious hands. I pray that we would love without expecting in return and humble ourselves so that the needs of others may be evident in our lives.
Why are you searching for love? Why are you still looking as if I'm not enough?

I've heard a lot of people using this to deceive other people and it hurts to know that some don't even feel guilty that they are ruining others to uplift themselves.
Sorry ran131uise, haven't quite understood your reply, I understand that you mean that folks don't practice what they preach but how do people use those commandments to deceive?
    Blessings and peace to you.

I know this hoax pastor that's using his powerful speeches to earn more members in his congregation only to find out that he is only collecting women to be his wives. When he was asked why did he do it. He said that he is just following God's commandment to love one another and to love your neighbor as yourself. He is now in prison for tremendous amount of cases filed against him.

Hi ran, it's nice to meet you.
This wasn't really love, was it?
    It was lies and betrayal.
So then, what do we do with that?
Do we say GOD had it wrong?
Because men are evil, we do not reject God or His word, do we?
I have a suggestion for you.
If you go to the forum titled "counseling requests" and start a thread about what happened in your church, someone named DaniH will see it and I believe she can help you find a way to deal with this betrayal without it turning you to bitterness and coldness and despair.

Well then he's obviously deceived, and deceiving others, isn't he?

You're right, we're supposed to live it, not just talk about it, or manipulate God's Word for our own selfish goals. Those are the types of people who are going to have a rough time answering to God.

Still, the commandment stands, and it's not optional. It's the one we're going to be measured by. So live it.
    Even so, come Lord Jesus!

    Re: LOVE ONE ANOTHER!

Paul warned Timothy to beware of such wolves who prey on the weak and highly emotional. True love demands both a purity and a stability that allows it to face all trials and grow through them...as James lays down the principal in his letter.
