Bible143, I'll venture some advice. I would suggest moving him into an assisted living facility. If he has any income from retirement or social security, he can live in nice surroundings with varying degrees of supervision and care at all times. You "move" into these things, so a core remnant of his belongings would go with him and make it "home". The hardest thing is merely getting over the idea. We went many years keeping my mom as independant as possible at home and later an apartment, but when we finally got over the idea of assisted living, she wound up thriving there best. Meals are scheduled, medicines, activities, etc. It wasn't long before she had friends and a social life.
