I wanted to run this by those techs with more experience than I have. I am thinking about buying an Apple IPOD Touch, 4th Generation. The problem is that there aren’t any Wi-Fi hot spots where I live nor none close by that I know of. If I’m not mistaken the IPOD Touch requires a Wi-Fi connection to the Internet before I can download Apps for the IPOD. I have a Dell Inspiron 537 Intel® Pentium Dual-Core E5400 Computer, with Windows 7 Professional as the operating system. For Internet access I am presently using Time Warner Roadrunner Cable. Am I correct that Windows 7 has an in-built utility, Wireless Hosted Network (Virtual Wi-Fi) technology, which will make my computer a wireless access point and where I can connect my IPOD Touch through my computer without purchasing a Router if I download the Virtual Router Program?
If there is any other information I might need please let me know. If you have other questions please advise.
