Thread: Hello - My name is Sue

    Are We Messing With God?

So glad to find this forum. What a wonderful site. Thank you.

Brand new to the idea of forums and blogging. (one month old)

I am extremely concerned about the blatant changes made to the Bible in the last 130 years. Warnings contained within scripture about messing with even a single dot have gone unheeded. I fear for our country and our world, slidden back from God's protection, we can only fail and suffer the consequences of a Holy God's wrath.

Our site is mainly about documenting the changes to the Bible in the most common modern version, the NIV.

Each verse of the KJV and NIV New Testaments, chapter by chapter, is currently being analyzed and the results posted online.

In light of those Bible warnings, it is with much fear and trembling that we have undertaken this task. ANY contribution to the analysis is greatly appreciated (Some verses require only a cut-and-paste, others take several hours to parse out correctly. Some cannot be reconciled at all - the changes are so deceptive).

Nice meeting you, Eleventh Hour, and welcome to the board.

Very useful little site you've got going there - encourages believers to take time to study and compare and to take care.

    Lord Bless,
    Stephen

Hello and welcome Sue. See you around

Hi Sue, it's nice to meet you. I rely on the guidance of the Holy Spirit to guide me. I don't bother with picking apart the Bible or over analyzing it. It is good and inspired by God, but it’s not God. So if there are changes that bother you ask God to guide you and the Spirit will be with you.

    Welcome 1david!

Which of these changes do not bother you?

•Tens of thousands of words completely removed in the new versions!
    •Thousands upon thousands replaced!
•Some added back in from earlier deletions!
    •Changed meanings and changed doctrines!
•The debasing of Jesus Christ to a lesser being!
    •The elevation of rituals!

Re: Are We Messing With God?

    Thank you!

We've finished 4 chapters on the site.

    John 1,
    I John 5
    Jude
    and Revelation 1

    The revisions are revulsive!

I am so fearful that God's judgment will fall before this travesty is fully exposed.

Any comments on the changes noted?

    Sue

Taken as a whole shows proof that there is a frightful consistency in the NIV to diminish the value of God's Word.

I think you missed my point Sue, my faith is in the Lord not the Bible. But that's okay keep up the good work.

Re: Are We Messing With God?

I totally agree, as my faith is in the Lord. I know of people who come to the Lord with no other witness than their own heart. ("I will write my law on their heart").

But to get to know what it is that God has for us, that's another thing.

When King Josiah found the book of the law tucked away in the temple, he was convicted, repented and turned the entire country around and back to God. He didn't even know the book of the Law existed before that. (Wouldn't it be a miracle if our government representatives found God's written law and were convicted?)

I know that today the Law is done away with through Jesus, but it is the 'ruler' to measure how much we are out of alignment with God and how much we need him. Plus - there are warnings throughout scripture not to change God's word.

I dont know - I kinda tremble when I think about it.

Thanks for your input, 1david. (my brother's name, too! Hey, yo- - -is that you, bro?))

I got a feeling I'm going to get in over my head here. Isn't the Bible writen by men? Human men?
