" Why hast thou forsaken me..." There was a point when Jesus felt like God had abandoned Him too. I know in my heart that God has never forsaken me nor would He, but sometimes it can sure feel like you're being broken in half while God just watches in silence. What I've learned though is that He does some of His best work in silence. He is faithful.

"Felt" of course. But the reality, and I have to remind myself of it, is that He does NOT abandon His children. And those times tend to strengthen our faith in Him.

Yeah, been there and done that. I think most of us at one time or another have wrongly felt that God was not living up to our expectations of what we think He should be doing for us.

We are kind of self-centered like that.

Praise His Name that He doesn't hold that against us.

And as Gail Rodgers says, "You can choose to be offended at God’s seeming silence and disinterest and allow doubt to slip into your heart or you can choose to believe God loves you with a lavish love and has your best interest at heart – even when things seem to make no sense to you."

Had God allowed me me to go down the path I insisted He allow me to take, I wouldn't be here to testify of His grace and mercy.

He knows what we are capable of withstanding but I think he wants us to know it for ourselves.
