Mine is a three-bar cross, as it is often recognizable as being associated with Orthodoxy. IC XC are the first and last letters in the Greek spelling of Jesus Christ (Iecouc Xpictouc), and NIKA means conqueror.

My dear friend so often answers me with this when I 'bend' the Scriptures to fit my viewpoint (so he says )

God has my back, I don't have to seek revenge when I have been done in, God is looking out for me, I don't have to get my own way...

Giotto is one of the first truly Rennaissance painters, and this is part of one of his most famous murals, done in fresco. It depicts one of the saddest moments in Christian history, receiving the dead body of Christ and preparing it for buriel by the grieving women in his life. His male disciples fled for their lives.

It's a faith statement for me. He died, was raised and now sits at the right hand of the Father in Heaven, where all rule, authority and dominion have been handed over to him -- yet still,

“In putting everything under [Jesus], God left nothing that is not subject to him. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to him” Hebrews 2:8.
So, this world still sees the dead Jesus, if they even see that. But when I see the dead Jesus, I see the image of His astounding victory over death for all of us.

    2 Corinthians 4:3-5
    New American Standard Bible (NASB)

3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus’ sake.
My signature verses are because I am constantly looking beyond the limits of what folks often think is closed off to man to know, hoping for greater and greater insight, and I encourage others to do the same. ... Those who seek find!
    His and Yours,

    Eyelog

The secret things belong to the Lord our God,
    but the things
    revealed belong to us
    and to our sons forever,
that we may observe all the words of this law.
    -- Deuteronomy 29:29

Open my eyes, that I may behold
    Wonderful things from Your law.
    -- Psalm 119:18
