Michael, what is being proposed in that video is a allegorical hermeneutic. Interpreting scripture in such a manner suggests that the Bible's message is hidden and that only with the allegorical hermeneutic keys can the "true meanings" of Scripture be discerned. Another similiar hermeneutic is numerology, where numbers have specific meanings or guidance in how to interpret the text.
