    Very strange thought... I think?

    Hi friends, this morning I was walking outside like I usually do and I was praying. In the process of praying, I became very angry with satan... seeing how much sin has filled this world, and how most hearts are turned away from God. I started to say "Christ conquered you already satan, you are not worth anything"... and then without thinking I said "I hate you".

    As soon as I said that, I started to wonder to myself... should I be praying that God would change satans heart and should I start to pray for him? God does tell us to love our enemies, and satan is definitely an enemy of mine. I know this may sound a little weird, please forgive me.
    Why are you searching for love? Why are you still looking as if I'm not enough?

    You aren't the only person to ponder this.....

    Here's an excerpt from the following link: LINK

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    "It is only because we are “partakers of the Divine nature” (2 Peter 1:4) that we are able to love God and others, even our enemies. In our natural (unsaved) state, we are only able to act according to our fallen natures because we belong to the evil one. When we come to Christ in faith, God gives us a new nature (2 Corinthians 5:17)—His righteous and holy nature—and we are then able to love with His love which He has put into our hearts. Then we love that which is good and pure and holy, just as God loves, and we hate sin and evil, just as He hates it. He tells us to love our enemies so that they will repent and turn to Him while there is still time in this age of grace. But Satan will never turn to God and repent, and therefore God will never love him.
    Because Satan is the embodiment of evil and everything that is antithetical to the God we love, we cannot love Satan. When Jesus tells us to loves our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44), He is referring to other people. We pray for them to come to know God through faith, to believe in Christ and be saved from their sins. We are never told to pray for Satan because there is no chance of his salvation. He does not need faith because he has seen God, knows God and has rejected Him. Therefore, the enemies we love and pray for do not include Satan.
    So does God love Satan and should we love him? The answer is absolutely, without a doubt, no. God has already declared the end and demise of Satan in the Bible: "And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever" (Revelation 20:10). God has already determined that there will be no forgiveness for Satan; there will be absolutely no chance of him coming into God’s presence, and the sacrificial love God shows for His children is out of the reach of Satan. Even if it were within his grasp, Satan would spurn it just as he spurned God’s rule in heaven."
    Hating isn't a fruit of the Spirit. It's a fruit of the flesh. In my opinion, to hate satan is to be distracted... we are to acknowledge him, know what he is, know what he does, lookout for what he does but we are not to "hate" him. As Christians, we are not even to "accuse" satan but ONLY rebuke him in the name of our Lord, Jesus: Jude 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”
    To hate him is simply "him" causing a Christian to have and actually express what we hold in our flesh and with such expression of hate, this hinders us from bearing the fruit of the Spirit.
    To pray for satan is a distraction, to pray for his heart to change is a distraction.
    You did stop praying about all that you "were" praying about with God when this thought and then "anger/hate" hit you?
    satan knows the POWER of prayer and if you are praying for those in the world still sinful because they have not accepted Jesus... satan was simply hitting you with what is called a "wile of the devil" to stop you from such praying and begin to focus on... "him" instead.
    Another example of a "wile" of the devil that is like this situation you expressed is when people pray FOR or TO those who are already dead. Such prayers are nothing but satan distracting people away from praying to God, through our ONLY mediator... JESUS!
    Don't let him distract you.
    Satan's and his followers destiny has already been determined as written in the book of Revelation.
    Don't waste any time on him,
    New International Version (NIV)
    John 8:44
    You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
    If there were any goodness in him at all your Saviour would of been the first to offer him forgiveness.
    As others have said, " he loves to distract you " I would only speak to him to say, The Lord rebuke you or get behind me, other than that pray for those who have a chance of salvation, he doesn't.
    Blessing to you.
    We're only supposed to pray for people. Don't waste your time on praying for beings that God never tells us to pray for. So you hate satan. And? I hate what he does to people too. No skin off anyone's back. Just don't let that hatred become a focus or worse, an obsession. He is God's to deal with. The only way we see Jesus deal with him, is confront him with God's Word and power. End of story. That's what we're supposed to be doing. No more. Don't overstep the boundaries that Jesus clearly gave us. Pray for people. Because they're very capable of evil, even without help. Yet Jesus died for them, and there's still hope of salvation for them like there was for you and me. So don't get sidetracked but keep the main thing the main thing.
    Even so, come Lord Jesus!
    I think of it this way. If Jesus didn't pray for Satan, neither am I. Satan got kicked out of heaven, God had good reasons to do this.
    I agree with what all of you said. I think I was just afraid of allowing hate to overcome me along with feelings of anger and rage. But, I will pray for people of this world to not be drawn into the schemes of evilness.
    Thank you for your advice.
    Why are you searching for love? Why are you still looking as if I'm not enough?
    May because of your hate with Satan that is why your thinking this way so that evil will not be spread anymore if God will change the heart of Satan.
