    Adam and Eve scripture references

I see so many posts about what the Bible reference is.

What if a situation arises that there isn't a reference?

What did Adam and Eve do? There was no scripture.

Who wrote the first scripture and how long after Adam and Eve was there scripture to help us?

Where does our own discernment fall into line? Yes, we are lead, I've experienced that.

Thanks in advance, for your insights.

No scripture exists for much that we do; however, scripture does say that God orders the steps of the righteous. Scripture does say that He prepared good works in which for us to walk--and prepared them in advance. He gives His children His Spirit to lead each in the path He's prepared. Consequently, there are no cookie-cutter Christians...each of us is different and each of us has a pre-prepared path in which to walk. The question is, will we heed the inner voice of the Spirit and walk in that narrow way?

Adam and Eve didn't need scripture. They talked directly with God, and He only gave them a scant few commands. They were:

“Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground. ” Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food. ”...“You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

Only one negative command was given...don't eat the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge. Pretty much anything else they wanted to do, they could do, because God gave them rule over the earth and animals, and He gave them all the edible plants to eat save one. Apparently, He doesn't see the need for written directions until there are at least 10. Anyway, we all know what they did...and we all know what the Israelites did with just the 10...and we all know the state of the church today. So...the written isn't all it is cracked up to be, eh?

Yes, discernment plays a part...but the guidance of the Holy Spirit is indispensible. Without His guidance, scripture becomes nothing more than ink on paper. What say you?

    Yes

The truth is what I'm in search of. The truth of the word. The Spirit hasn't changed nor ever will. The leading to the truth of the word. When I read the Bible it always has that connection. Always will for me. It's the BEST TRUTH we have today in words. Sadly, the more I study and watch documentaries on the church and Bible, the more I feel, SOMEBODY LEFT SOMETHING OUT.

"Banned from Bible" on the History channel I believe, told about books that were left out of Bible. Even parts of the book of Matthew for one. They read from banned parts that was JESUS SPEAKING. That seems ALL WRONG to me. Just who would leave out Jesus words from the Bible. If Jesus said, we should be about to read it.

A 2 hour special on the Vatican followed. In the early days of Popes, they would send out troops to collect money and kill of what side religions disagreed with them. Wrong... wrong I tell you. Then some Popes would BUY their elected statues. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. People of God using money to get their way.

The TRUTH, that's my search. Feeling like those who stole the truth from us will have grave punishment on that day.
Forgiveness for those who trampled truth, that on that day we can also be thankful for what TRUTH we did get.

I always read my Bible with the uttermost reverance, but I will always think of the words we didn't get to read with sorrow.
That the Holy Spirit today, will have to guide more, from the misinterpetations in translations.

AND I too have much to learn yet, and everyones guidance is welcomed.

PA, I don't believe we're missing any truth due to the exclusion of the non canonised books. We have all the truth we need in the bible, and the Lord will continue to take us deeper and deeper into that truth, as we seek it. The bible is a fountain of truth, that washes over us, and changes us, if we let it. We have been blessed with the Teacher who is Truth, He will lead us to the knowledge we need, when we need it.

Why search for the truth in these other things, when you have everything you need already?

Is there a difference between enought truth and all truth?

    I understand what your saying.

I just don't understand why some of Jesus own words were left out. That makes no sense to me.

After starting this thread, I felt more comfort in Bible time.

Sid Roths show was just on this topic, how translations are not totally accurate.

As mentioned before, it's our truth that we have and the Holy Spirit leads us through.

AND on TD Jakes, he was talking about when we are lead, it's like God is hanging it just out of our reach. We are almost there. Just keep following.
