To preserve the government we must also preserve morals. Morality rests on religion; if you destroy the foundation, the superstructure must fall. When the public mind becomes vitiated and corrupt, laws are a nullity and constitutions are waste paper. Daniel Webster, 4th of July, 1800, Oration at Hanover, N.H.

It can't/won't happen.
Even the dreaded ACLU says so:

Yes sir, Rev Logos.
It's crazy to see this happening.
This is nothing more than bullying and yes folks it's tantamount to persecution. They've been so blinded by the fear of picking on gays that now they pick on anyone who disagrees with their view of the gay lifestyle.
Matthew 5:10 blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
I think we've forgotten that persecution isn't just about who your God is, but it is also about standing for righteousness in the Name of your God.
They act as though we are hatemongers because of these beliefs. We didn't make up these beliefs, God did. Therefore we are not free to change our beliefs with every wind that blows through this world simply because modern people changed the way they believe. We don't just believe IN God... We BELIEVE Him and we submit to Him. That's what it means to be a Christian. It's easier to just go with the flow but God says we are to go with Him regardless of where the flow leads. Where He goes I will follow, I hope we will all have the courage to follow Him, even when things get uglier toward us Christians.
This is just the birth of a movement. Like gay marraige in the 1970's, most will say "ain't gonna happen in Philly." That's probably true - for now. But these immoral lawless leftists will pick away and pick away at this until one day banning Christians from doing business just for being Christians will be presented as common sense measures, as post modernism differs with an unchanging God. What's worse, a lot of churches will enter into the fold of moral relatism. That's already happening. We see some of those post modernist views expressed here. From people who claim to follow God. But this was prophecied. The church age is winding down. False prophets are coming out of the woodwork like ants. It's coming. I see a time where Christians who hold to the Word will have to go underground, and all we'll see of Christianity publically is a watered down cotton candy Gospel where Jesus is just some nice guy pursuing social justice. People don't mind that. It's coming.
But then so is the real Jesus. The One with the sword.
Blessed are those who endure to the end.
Unhappy is he who mistakes the branch for the tree, the shadow for the substance.
The crazy part is they don't understand just how easy they are making it for the muslims to come in and take over. These leftists are laying the ground work, and once the Christian is silenced, who will have the courage to stop the muslim "extremists" from using violence to bring them into submission to allah?
Exactly, but what the leftists don't realize is that they are a tool for the muslims too. And the left will be afraid of the muslims, which will work toward the end goal of the muslims. The left isn't afraid of us, which is why it's so easy for them to try and railroad us.
The muslims are being patient and letting the left lay the ground work for them. I've read and heard conversations between muslims about how they love the left for this very reason. But the left refuses to believe that.
If the progressive left were successful in getting this so called "People's Rights Amendment" passed (on another thread), Chick-fil-a could, as a corporation, be legally and constitutionally destroyed, since none of the Bill of Rights would apply to it.
At any rate, I expected this would die out quickly after the ACLU and every other relevant group came out and said the obvious. But it appears both Philly and San Francisco may continue to press this.
Its staggering the fear and intolerance being projected. As the Bible says, we should get used to it.
Mat 5:10 "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them.
Rom 12:14 Bless those who persecute you, bless and do not curse.

i thought the people's rights amendment said that corporations were not people. I happen to agree with that.
The man who owns the fast food company can do anything he wants to with his product. No argument from me. People also have that same right to either buy or not buy his product. It appears people are flocking (no pun intended) to his stores.
Chicago can't stop him from being there - he's ALREADY there, in the airport no less. Same with Philadelphia and San Francisco. The chain may fail in San Francisco but I would guess it will thrive in other cities. Ain't that America though?

That isn't really what it says. It says the rights guaranteed by the constitution and Bill of Rights does not apply to corporations, LLCs, or any corporate entity such as non-profits, charities, newspapers, most religious organizations, etc.
It means that a company like Chick-fil-a, or even a church, or even the ACLU, has no right so speak. It is not protected against unreasonable search and seizure, eminent domain, etc. There is no right to trial or due process. Corporate owned property could be seized without compensation if the regime in charge doesn't like it. So even though the first amendment protects our right to peaceably assemble, that assembly has no rights.
