    Neocatechumenal Way

Just wondering if anyone here has any experience with this movement. It started in the Catholic Church in Madrid in 1964.

In my dad's church they seem to be growing rather quickly. Something that's happening is that some of the "Traditional" church members don't really agree with this movement. And it's caused some friction in his church.

My BIL and SIL are very involved in this. It is a wonderful thing, and while it is strictly controlled by the RCC it does cause a much greater focus on scripture then the Church has ever allowed.

Some will decry it since it is still a function of the RCC, but for many who may never have read their bible, it is a huge step in the right direction IMHO.

Well that's certainly a GOOD thing.

It does not have to be Catholic and, in reality, exists in other areas which are not Catholic.

I'd love to have one close by, but the closest Christian community like that is 400 miles from me.
