Markus 11:
Hosanna! GeseŽnd is Hy wat kom in die Naam van die HERE!
Ὡσαννά∑ Εὐλογημένος ὁ ἐρχόμενος ἐν ὀνόματι Κυρίου∑
Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord:

10 GeseŽnd is die komende koninkryk van ons vader Dawid!
Εὐλογημένη ἡ ἐρχομένη βασιλεία τοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶν Δαυείδ∑
Blessed be the kingdom of our father David ...

Hosanna in die allerhoogste!
Ὡσαννὰ ἐν τοῖς ὑψίστοις.
... Hosanna in the highest.

Johannes 12:
13 GeseŽnd is Hy wat kom in die naam van die HERE, die Koning van Israel.
καὶ ἐκραύγαζον Ὡσαννά, εὐλογημένος ὁ ἐρχόμενος ἐν ὀνόματι Κυρίου, καὶ ὁ Βασιλεὺς τοῦ Ἰσραήλ.
and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.

14 Jesus het ’n jong esel gevind en daarop plaasgeneem,
εὑρὼν δὲ ὁ Ἰησοῦς ὀνάριον ἐκάθισεν ἐπ’ αὐτό,
And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon;

as it is written, 15 Fear not, daughter of Sion:

Kyk, jou Koning kom terwyl Hy op die vul van ’n esel sit.
ἰδοὺ ὁ Βασιλεύς σου ἔρχεται, καθήμενος ἐπὶ πῶλον ὄνου.
behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.

Matteus 21:
5 Vertel aan die dogter van Sion: Kyk! jou Koning kom na jou!
Εἴπατε τῇ θυγατρὶ Σιών Ἰδοὺ ὁ Βασιλεύς σου ἔρχεταί σοι
Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee,

Nederig; en Hy sit op ’n esel— op die vul van ’n eselin.
πραῢς καὶ ἐπιβεβηκὼς ἐπὶ ὄνον καὶ ἐπὶ πῶλον υἱὸν ὑποζυγίου.
meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.

Lukas 19:
36 En terwyl Hy triomfantlik ingaan,
πορευομένου δὲ αὐτοῦ
And as he went,

ὑπεστρώννυον τὰ ἱμάτια ἑαυτῶν ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ.

λέγοντες Εὐλογημένος ὁ ἐρχόμενος, ὁ Βασιλεὺς ἐν ὀνόματι
Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name

van die HERE; in die hemel vrede en in die hoogste, eer!
Κυρίου∑ ἐν οὐρανῷ εἰρήνη καὶ δόξα ἐν ὑψίστοις.
of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.

Lukas 22:
25 Hy het vir hulle gesÍ: Die konings van die nasies heers oor hulle,
ὁ δὲ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Οἱ βασιλεῖς τῶν ἐθνῶν κυριεύουσιν αὐτῶν,
And he said unto them, The kings of the nations lord it over them,

καὶ οἱ ἐξουσιάζοντες αὐτῶν εὐεργέται καλοῦνται.
and they exercising authority over them are called benefactors.

26 Julle is nie so nie; maar die oudste onder julle
ὑμεῖς δὲ οὐχ οὕτως, ἀλλ’ ὁ μείζων ἐν ὑμῖν
But ye shall not be so, but he that is greatest among you,

γινέσθω ὡς ὁ νεώτερος, καὶ ὁ ἡγούμενος ὡς ὁ διακονῶν.
let him be as the younger; and he that is chief as he that doth serve.

27 Want wie is die grootste, hy wat eet of hy wat bedien?
τίς γὰρ μείζων, ὁ ἀνακείμενος ἢ ὁ διακονῶν;
For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth?

Nie hy wat sit en eet nie? So is Ek in julle midde Die Dienende.
οὐχὶ ὁ ἀνακείμενος; ἐγὼ δὲ ἐν μέσῳ ὑμῶν εἰμι ὡς ὁ διακονῶν.
Not he that sitteth at meat? But I am among you as he that serveth.

Lukas 23:2,3
Hulle het begin om Hom te beskuldig deur te sÍ: Hierdie man,
ἤρξαντο δὲ κατηγορεῖν αὐτοῦ λέγοντες Τοῦτον
And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow

to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.

ὁ δὲ Πειλᾶτος ἠρώτησεν αὐτὸν λέγων Σὺ εἶ ὁ Βασιλεὺς τῶν Ἰουδαίων;
And Pilate asked him, Art thou the king of the Jews?

En Jesus het hom geantwoord: U sÍ (Ek is)!
ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς αὐτῷ ἔφη Σὺ λέγεις.
And he answered him and said, Thou sayest.

Markus 15:2a

Matteus 27:11
Jesus het voor die goewerneur gestaan;
Ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς ἐστάθη (ἔστη) ἔμπροσθεν τοῦ ἡγεμόνος∑
And Jesus stood before the governor:

en die goewerneur het Hom ondervra en gesÍ:
καὶ ἐπηρώτησεν αὐτὸν ὁ ἡγεμὼν λέγων
and the governor asked him, saying,

Johannes 18:33-38
Toe het Pilatus weer in die voorhof ingegaan en Jesus geroep
Εἰσῆλθεν οὖν πάλιν εἰς τὸ πραιτώριον ὁ Πειλᾶτος καὶ ἐφώνησεν
Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again and called Jesus,

en vir Hom gevra: Is u die koning van die Jode?
τὸν Ἰησοῦν καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ Σὺ εἶ ὁ Βασιλεὺς τῶν Ἰουδαίων;
and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews?

34 Jesus Het hom geantwoord: SÍ u dit uit u eie,
ἀπεκρίθη (αὐτῷ ὁ) Ἰησοῦς Ἀφ’ ἑαυτοῦ σὺ τοῦτο λέγεις,
Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself,

of het iemand anders u omtrent My vertel?
ἢ ἄλλοι εἶπόν σοι περὶ ἐμοῦ;
or did others tell it thee of me?

35 Pilatus het geantwoord: Ek is nie ’n Jood nie? Jou nasie en
ἀπεκρίθη ὁ Πειλᾶτος Μήτι ἐγὼ Ἰουδαῖός εἰμι; τὸ ἔθνος τὸ σὸν καὶ
Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and

hoŽpriesters het jou aan my uitgelewer: Wat het jy gedoen?
οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς παρέδωκάν σε ἐμοί∑ τί ἐποίησας;
the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?

36 Jesus het geantwoord: My koninkryk is nie van
ἀπεκρίθη Ἰησοῦς∑ Ἡ βασιλεία ἡ ἐμὴ οὐκ ἔστιν ἐκ
Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of

hierdie wÍreld nie. As my koninkryk van hierdie wÍreld was,
τοῦ κόσμου τούτου∑ εἰ ἐκ τοῦ κόσμου τούτου ἦν ἡ βασιλεία ἡ ἐμή,
this world: if my kingdom were of this world,

sou my knegte geveg het dat Ek nie uitgelewer word
οἱ ὑπηρέται ἂν οἱ ἐμοὶ ἠγωνίζοντο, ἵνα μὴ παραδοθῶ
then would my servants fight that I should not be delivered

aan die Jode nie. Maar NOU is my koninkryk nie van hier nie.
τοῖς Ἰουδαίοις∑ νῦν δὲ ἡ βασιλεία ἡ ἐμὴ οὐκ ἔστιν ἐντεῦθεν.
to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not of hence.

37 Toe sÍ Pilatus vir Hom: Jy is nie regtig ’n koning nie, is jy?
εἶπεν οὖν αὐτῷ ὁ Πειλᾶτος Οὐκοῦν βασιλεὺς εἶ σύ;
Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then?

Jesus het hom geantwoord: U sÍ dat Ek Koning is!
ἀπεκρίθη ὁ Ἰησοῦς Σὺ λέγεις ὅτι βασιλεύς εἰμι (ἐγὼ).
Jesus answered: Thou sayest that I am a king.

Ek is daarvoor gebore en daarvoor ingebring in die wÍreld,
ἐγὼ εἰς τοῦτο γεγέννημαι καὶ εἰς τοῦτο ἐλήλυθα εἰς τὸν κόσμον,
To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world,

dat Ek vir die waarheid getuig!
ἵνα μαρτυρήσω τῇ ἀληθείᾳ∑
that I should bear witness unto the truth.

Elkeen wat van die waarheid is, hoor Mż stem.
πᾶς ὁ ὢν ἐκ τῆς ἀληθείας ἀκούει μου τῆς φωνῆς.
Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

Johannes 19:1-12
Toe het Pilatus Jesus geneem en laat gťsel.
Τότε οὖν ἔλαβεν ὁ Πειλᾶτος τὸν Ἰησοῦν καὶ ἐμαστίγωσεν.
Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him.

2 Die soldate het ’n krans gevleg van dorings en vir Hom opgesit
καὶ οἱ στρατιῶται πλέξαντες στέφανον ἐξ ἀκανθῶν ἐπέθηκαν αὐτοῦ
And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns and put it

op sy kop en ’n purper kleed vir Hom aangetrek.
τῇ κεφαλῇ, καὶ ἱμάτιον πορφυροῦν περιέβαλον αὐτόν,
on his head, and ... a purple robe, they put on him

3 Hulle het voor Hom kom staan en gesÍ: Heil, koning van die Jode!
καὶ ἤρχοντο πρὸς αὐτὸν καὶ ἔλεγον Χαῖρε ὁ Βασιλεὺς τῶν Ἰουδαίων∑
- - - - - - - - - and said, Hail, King of the Jews,

En hulle het Hom klappe gegee en (lyf)houe geslaan.
καὶ ἐδίδοσαν (ἐδίδουν) αὐτῷ ῥαπίσματα.
and they smote him with their hands.

11 Jesus het geantwoord: U sou geen mag teen My hÍ tensy
ἀπεκρίθη Ἰησοῦς Οὐκ εἶχες ἐξουσίαν κατ’ ἐμοῦ οὐδεμίαν εἰ μὴ
Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power against me, except it

but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go,

is u nie die keiser se vriend nie: elkeen wat
οὐκ εἶ φίλος τοῦ Καίσαρος∑ πᾶς ὁ
thou art not Caesar’s friend: whosoever

homself koning maak, rebelleer teen die keiser!
βασιλέα ἑαυτὸν ποιῶν ἀντιλέγει τῷ Καίσαρι.
maketh himself a king, speaketh against Caesar.

Johannes 18:39,40 [Levitikus 16:10]
Dit is julle gebruik dat ek iemand vir julle vrylaat op die pasga.
ἔστιν δὲ συνήθεια ὑμῖν ἵνα ἕνα ἀπολύσω ὑμῖν ἐν τῷ πάσχα∑
But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover:

Wil julle dan ek moet vir julle die koning van die Jode vrylaat?
βούλεσθε οὖν ἀπολύσω ὑμῖν τὸν Βασιλέα τῶν Ἰουδαίων;
will ye therefore that I should release unto you the King of the Jews?

40 Wťťr het hulle almal uitgeroep en gesÍ:
ἐκραύγασαν οὖν πάλιν (πάντες) λέγοντες
Then cried they all again, saying,

Nie hierdie man nie, maar Barabbas wat pa se seun is!
Μὴ τοῦτον, ἀλλὰ τὸν Βαραββᾶν. ἦν δὲ ὁ Βαραββᾶς λῃστής.
not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.

Markus 15:6-11
Volgens die fees het hy vir hulle een gevangene vrygelaat
Κατὰ δὲ ἑορτὴν ἀπέλυεν αὐτοῖς ἕνα δέσμιον.
Now at the feast he released unto them one prisoner

oor wie hulle moes kies. 7 Hy was Barabbas genoem wat hulle
ὃν παρῃτοῦντο (ὅνπερ ᾐτοῦντο). 7 ἦν δὲ ὁ λεγόμενος Βαραββᾶς
whomsoever they desired. 7 And there was one named Barabbas

saam met die rebelle gevang het,
οἵτινες ἐν τῇ στάσει φόνον πεποιήκεισαν.
who in the insurrection... had committed murder.

die een wat in die opstand moord gepleeg het.
μετὰ τῶν στασιαστῶν δεδεμένος,
which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him...

8 Opstandig het die skare begin eis hy moet
καὶ ἀναβὰς (ἀναβοήσας) ὁ ὄχλος ἤρξατο αἰτεῖσθαι
And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to

soos vorig vir hulle maak. 9 Pilatus wou weet en vra hulle:
καθὼς (ἀεὶ) ἐποίει αὐτοῖς. 9 ὁ δὲ Πειλᾶτος ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς λέγων
do as he had ever done unto them. 9 But Pilate answered them saying,

Wil julle hÍ ek moet vir julle die koning van die Jode vrylaat?
Θέλετε ἀπολύσω ὑμῖν τὸν Βασιλέα τῶν Ἰουδαίων;
Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews?

10 Hy het geweet uit jaloesie het die priesters Hom oorgelewer.
ἐγίνωσκεν γὰρ ὅτι διὰ φθόνον παραδεδώκεισαν αὐτὸν οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς.
For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.

Markus 15:12-14
Pilatus het hulle weer gevra en gesÍ: Wat dan wil julle, hÍ,
ὁ δὲ Πειλᾶτος πάλιν ἀποκριθεὶς ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς Τί οὖν (θέλετε)
And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then

moet ek doen met hom wat julle, koning van die Jode noem?
ποιήσω ὃν λέγετε τὸν Βασιλέα τῶν Ἰουδαίων;
that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews?

13 Wťťr skreeu hulle: Kruisig hom! 14 en sÍ Pilatus
οἱ δὲ πάλιν ἔκραξαν Σταύρωσον αὐτόν. 14 ὁ δὲ Πειλᾶτος ἔλεγεν
And they cried out again, Crucify him! 14 Then Pilate said

vir hulle: Want watter kwaad het hy gedoen? en hulle, nog
αὐτοῖς Τί γὰρ ἐποίησεν κακόν; οἱ δὲ περισσῶς
unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they ... the more

harder, skreeu: Kruisig Hom!
(περισσοτέρως) ἔκραξαν Σταύρωσον αὐτόν.
exceedingly ... cried out, Crucify him.

Johannes 19:12c-15
Elkeen wat homself koning maak, rebelleer teen die keiser!
πᾶς ὁ βασιλέα ἑαυτὸν ποιῶν ἀντιλέγει τῷ Καίσαρι.
Whoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar.

Ὁ οὖν Πειλᾶτος ἀκούσας [GE: ἐμνημόνευσεν / ἐμνήσθησαν]
When Pilate therefore heard

aan hierdie woord het Pilatus Jesus uitgebring en gaan sit
τῶν λόγων τούτων ἤγαγεν ἔξω τὸν Ἰησοῦν,
that saying, he brought Jesus forth and sat down

en op die regstoel in die saal / plek genaamd Plaveisel—
καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἐπὶ βήματος εἰς τόπον λεγόμενον Λιθόστρωτον,
in the judgment seat in the place that is called the Pavement,

in Hebreeus, Gabbata. 14 Dit was Die Voorbereiding van die Pasga:
Ἑβραϊστὶ δὲ Γαββαθα. 14 ἦν δὲ Παρασκευὴ τοῦ πάσχα,
in the Hebrew, Gabbatha. 14 And it was the preparation of the passover

dagbreek ses uur: en hy sÍ vir die Jode: Julle Koning!
ὥρα ἦν ὡς ἕκτη∑ καὶ λέγει τοῖς Ἰουδαίοις Ἴδε ὁ Βασιλεὺς ὑμῶν.
and ...the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold, your King.

15 Toe bars hulle los: Wyk! Vat hom weg! Kruisig hom!
ἐκραύγασαν οὖν ἐκεῖνοι Ἆρον ἆρον, σταύρωσον αὐτόν.
But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him.

Pilatus het hulle getart: Jķlle koning, moet ťk, kruisig?!
λέγει αὐτοῖς ὁ Πειλᾶτος Τὸν Βασιλέα ὑμῶν σταυρώσω;
Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King?

Antwoord die hoŽpriesters: Ons het g’n koning anders as Caesar nie!
ἀπεκρίθησαν οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς Οὐκ ἔχομεν βασιλέα εἰ μὴ Καίσαρα.
The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.

Matteus 27:27-31a
Maar eers nog het die soldate van die goewerneur
Τότε οἱ στρατιῶται τοῦ ἡγεμόνος
Then the soldiers of the governer

Jesus ingevat in die hofsaal. Hulle het saam aangekom
παραλαβόντες τὸν Ἰησοῦν εἰς τὸ πραιτώριον συνήγαγον
took Jesus into the common hall and gathered

ἐν τῇ δεξιᾷ αὐτοῦ καὶ γονυπετήσαντες ἔμπροσθεν αὐτοῦ
in his right hand: And they bowed the knee before him,

hulle Hom gespot en gesÍ: Wees gegroet, Koning van die Jode!
ἐνέπαιξαν αὐτῷ λέγοντες Χαῖρε, Βασιλεῦ τῶν Ἰουδαίων,
and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews.

30 Hulle het Hom gespoeg, die staaf gevat en geslaan op sy kop.

Amillennianisme volgens "Die Eerste Opstanding Die Duisend Jaar" is die enigste toekoms-verwagting betreffende die spoedige Wederkoms van Jesus vir die Christen.
