Trump to recognize Jerusalem as the eternal capitol of Israel

Here is a link to the story on the Times of Israel website.

    https://www.timesofisrael.com/trump-...ouse-confirms/

This is only the first of several steps that will take place in the coming years, as prophesied.

Psalm 102:16 For the Lord will rebuild Zion
    and appear in his glory.
    18
Let this be written for a future generation,
that a people not yet created may praise the Lord:

Jerusalem has always been God's timepiece. It is a good idea to pay attention to what is going on there.

Exciting news! Much more pro-Israel than that last guy, what's his name...
"For a small moment have I forsaken you, and with great mercy will I gather you. With a little wrath did I hide My countenance for a moment from you, and with everlasting kindness will I have compassion on you," said your Redeemer, the Lord."..."For the mountains shall depart and the hills totter, but My kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall the covenant of My peace totter," says the Lord, Who has compassion on you.

Re: Trump to recognize Jerusalem as the eternal capitol of Israel

    From the AP:

Any U.S. declaration on Jerusalem’s status, ahead of a peace deal, “would harm peace negotiation process and escalate tension in the region,” Saudi Arabia’s King Salman told Trump Tuesday, according to a Saudi readout of their telephone conversation. Declaring Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, the king said, “would constitute a flagrant provocation to all Muslims, all over the world.”
    ***
Ahmed Aboul-Gheit, the head of the Arab League, urged the U.S. to reconsider any recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, warning of “repercussions.” Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told his Parliament such recognition was a “red line” and that Turkey could respond by cutting diplomatic ties with Israel.
is there any other nation in the world that isn't allowed to decide where it's own capital city is? Anyone, anyone? Beuller?
"For a small moment have I forsaken you, and with great mercy will I gather you. With a little wrath did I hide My countenance for a moment from you, and with everlasting kindness will I have compassion on you," said your Redeemer, the Lord."..."For the mountains shall depart and the hills totter, but My kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall the covenant of My peace totter," says the Lord, Who has compassion on you.

I'm with Trump on this 100%. I've always believed that it will take a maverick world leader to implement events that will precipitate the revealing of the Man of Sin and with that, the Second Coming of our Messiah! If this happens, it will hopefully pave the way for the rebuilding of the temple. I'm clapping my hands with glee. Since I was unlucky not to be born during the earthly days of Jesus Christ and the Apostolic age, I hope I live and experience the eschaton.

It is fruitful for any nation to acknowledge the truth with deeds.

Trump is the only president since the truth was acknowledged by congress and signed in 1995 by President Clinton to actually acknowledge the truth with deeds.

Obama, Bush, Clinton were all appeasers to terrorists and predictably, there was no peace under their administrations.

They are also talking about cutting back on the half a billion in US aid sent to Palestine each year - some of which is used to support families of convicted terrorists. I pretty sure they will be told "Either none of it goes to these people or you get none."

My vote would be that they cut it off completely unless or until they reach a peace agreement and stick with it. Enough with the lies and agreements they have no intentions of keeping and following through on.
That would be a win for Trump ( and us ) and a big thumb in the eye of the liars and appeasers world wide, Muslim and non-Muslim alike. The status quo has resulted in death and misery for far too long so it's time to try something new.

Agreed. Appeasement only allows for bad behavior.

Forget about politics. This is about America! It is all about God's plan; using individuals that don't conform to convention, to bring about his ultimate strategy! Can't wait for this to happen, all the nations claiming they won't move their embassies will eventually do so after the noise has ceased.

Israel restored to its Biblical and traditional capital, how awesome can that be! Naturally, unbelievers are blind to God's plans! This is a great milestone in the eschatology...

Jerusalem was recognized as the capitol back in 1995.

Not a whole. The Jerusalem of old was not divided into east and west Jerusalem as we have today, with the heathen Palestinians claiming one part. And because of this division, Israel was forced to use Tel Aviv as capital. Therefore, this gesture by the leader of the free world will have a bigger significance than the so-called recognition that happened in 1995. That's my point.

    I beg to differ....

    https://www.congress.gov/104/plaws/p...-104publ45.pdf

The Congress makes the following findings:

    (1) Each sovereign nation, under international law and
custom, may designate its own capital.

    (2) Since 1950, the city of Jerusalem has been the capital
    of the State of Israel.

    (3) The city of Jerusalem is the seat of Israel’s President,
Parliament, and Supreme Court, and the site of numerous
government ministries and social and cultural institutions.

    (4) The city of Jerusalem is the spiritual center of Judaism,
and is also considered a holy city by the members of other
    religious faiths.

    (5) From 1948–1967, Jerusalem was a divided city and
Israeli citizens of all faiths as well as Jewish citizens of all
states were denied access to holy sites in the area controlled
    by Jordan.

    (6) In 1967, the city of Jerusalem was reunited during
the conflict known as the Six Day War.

    (7) Since 1967, Jerusalem has been a united city administered
by Israel, and persons of all religious faiths have been
guaranteed full access to holy sites within the city.

    (8) This year marks the 28th consecutive year that Jerusalem
has been administered as a unified city in which the
rights of all faiths have been respected and protected.

    (9) In 1990, the Congress unanimously adopted Senate
Concurrent Resolution 106, which declares that the Congress
‘‘strongly believes that Jerusalem must remain an undivided
city in which the rights of every ethnic and religious group
    are protected’’.

    (10) In 1992, the United States Senate and House of Representatives
    unanimously adopted Senate Concurrent Resolution

113 of the One Hundred Second Congress to commemorate
the 25th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem, and
reaffirming congressional sentiment that Jerusalem must
    remain an undivided city.
Those who seek God with all their heart will find Him and be given sight. Those who seek their own agenda will remain blind.

All the above are true, but guess what? It's on paper only! Because the last time I checked, Israel's capital is Tel Aviv, but Trump's forthcoming announcement will change all that.

No, it isn't. It's Jerusalem. But the world won't recognize it. Again, it's bizarre.

"Israel is a sovereign nation with a right like every other sovereign nation to determine its own capital," Pres. Trump says. "Acknowledging this is a fact is a necessary condition for achieving peace."
