The bible is an amazing book, and its History is also amazing. When you look into how it came about, you can see Gods work in manipulating it into what it is today. Have any of you visited the Bible museum? I got to visit it while it was in Colorado Springs a few years ago. Learned a lot about the Word of God.

History has proven over the years that this book is indestructible! So many have tried to disclaim the authority and truth of this book and have tried to destroy it but because God Is in control this book will forever be the greatest book ever written!

In the Bible are principles for a just Legal system; principles for finance; principles for living - marriage, relationships and getting on with difficult people. Mostly it introduces God the Father, Jesus Christ His Son and the wonderful Holy Spirit - and reveals the mind of God, His thoughts, plans, reasons, and love for fallen man.

    Hello josephtim,

    Welcome to the forum
You are correct, Those are some good reasons why the bible is the greatest book. Another is the fact that it is God's inspired word given to us to save and deliver us. Also, let us not forget it is the best selling book in history.
2 Ti 2:14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.

The Bible is simply the best book in the history of the earth, why?

Because it contains the Only True Worldview to be followed by mankind.

Its tells us the necessary who, what, why, how & when of human existence & condition and if that was not enough, its tell us the Future!

    How do you beat that?

Re: Why The Bible is the greatest

The Bible is special because it is Godís Word. No other book is Godís Word.

The world is broken. Genesis 3 tells how it became broken. Now that we live in a post-Genesis 3 world, the Bible tells us the only cure for the sin that causes this world to be broken.

Morality is a part of the Bible. When God changes people, their morality changes. But morality isnít the solution. Better morality is a fruit of partaking in Gidís solution

Ok. Let’s be accurate. The second greatest command is to love our neighbor as ourself. However, the Bible speaks of hate. And sometimes it’s God doing the hating and sometimes it’s persons that he hates.

Throughout history the bible have inspired people to do things they would not have done without the inspiration of "Jesus" and "The Lord".

Re: Why The Bible is the greatest

The Bibile is one of the most fascinating books ever written Regardless of one's religious or spiritual beliefs, the Bible is without a doubt arguably one of the most interesting books ever written. Although various versions have been created through out the years, the fact that such a book has existed for as long as it has qualifies it as one of the greatest books written.
