Monster Storm To Blast East Coast Before Polar Vortex Uncorks Tremendous Cold Late This Week

First, a very large and powerful storm will hammer coastal locations from Georgia to Maine with ice and snow. By Thursday, the exploding storm will, in many ways, resemble a winter hurricane, battering easternmost New England with potentially damaging winds in addition to blinding snow.

Forecasters are expecting the storm to become a so-called “bomb cyclone” because its pressure is predicted to fall so fast, an indicator of explosive strengthening. The storm could rank as the most intense over the waters east of New England in decades at this time of year.

In the storm’s wake, the mother lode of numbing cold will crash south — likely the last but most bitter in brutal blasts since Christmas Eve.

My wife who came from the east coast says this is not unusual at all.

I live in suburban NYC. What can I say? It snowed and it was windy. The storm of the century? Hardly.
"For a small moment have I forsaken you, and with great mercy will I gather you. With a little wrath did I hide My countenance for a moment from you, and with everlasting kindness will I have compassion on you," said your Redeemer, the Lord."..."For the mountains shall depart and the hills totter, but My kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall the covenant of My peace totter," says the Lord, Who has compassion on you.

The MSM hyper-ventilates about everything it seems.

    I wouldn’t quite go there.

It wasn’t/isn’t a normal storm occurrence and I’m sure the actual damage to life (not only human) will show that after a little time passes.
A lot of places it hit never saw anything of the likes at least not for a long time.

Everyone I know that lives back there isn't impressed with the hype. That tells me something

Proof of global warming - it wasn't as bad as it should have been. The global warming heat softened the storm somewhat.

How did the global warming heat *soften* the storm?

Actually Algore said that the extreme cold is proof of global warming. You can't make this stuff up.

He used to be a normal guy, too.

These warming effects are real and have real consequences. The total human effect is perhaps not as quatifiably unknown. Anyone joking around with this is in la-la land.
Do not say, “Why were the old days better than these?” For it is not wise to ask such questions.

Average global temperature hasn't changed in 20 years. So now "global scientists" are looking for the "hidden warming". Science used to be about observations matching theory. Now if the observations don't match the theory, the observations must be wrong.

I find myself sceptical because it plays into the hands of the communist and socialist in our society. You know, as the left says down here, never let a crisis go to waste. If I thought they were genuine, I might listen more. So much of science these days seems like religion too. For instance, scientist scream that you can't trust the scientist on the oil side because well, they stand to profit from oil! But if the global warming crowd is wrong, well they stand to lose millions of dollars in grant money.

Then all those dire predictions that have not come true. Someone should read them the story of the boy who cried wolf. If there is something to all this, an acknowledgment of the propaganda, bad models, etc. needs to be owned up to and lets get some serious talk done without all the politics.

BTW, the US will probably exceed our agreements of the Paris accord even though they were scuttled by President Trump. But hey, politics, politics, politics!
    Matt 9:13
13 "But go and learn what this means: ' I DESIRE COMPASSION,AND NOT SACRIFICE,' for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
