    e-mail problems-Mail-A-Friend

I'm so lost here I'm really am crying. I learned html in a Web/Desktop Publishing class and was good at it. Enjoyed it so much I'm Web master of my church's Web site http://www.fefconline.org. I want to be able to make this a very useful tool for the members and need a ton of help, so PLEASE be patient. Thanks for your help!!

    In my e-mail from Webnet77 it said I have Mail-A-Friend pre-installed.

When I type the link in the Web browser http://fefconline.org/cgi-sys/mtf/fm.pl it takes me to a site map on the Webnet77 website. Please help!!

Another problem I'm having is with e-mail in general. I know how to give e-mail addresses, but how do I add a link on the Website so they can access their e-mail account.

I really hope someone here can help me. FYI: I am a literal learner, which means that I do better with precise, step-by-step instructions.

Thanks, Thanks, and Thanks again and God Bless

ok, as for the e-mail link you would do it as such

    create a standard html link,
instead of inputting a url (http://www.???.com) you would add this mailto:email@mymail.com

This is 100% correct. The script only works when called from your website. If you type the URL into your browser directly, it simply shows a bunch of links. This is one of the security features of the software preventing people from outside from calling the script and abusing it by sending email (usually spam) as you and getting you into trouble.

To use the script, you need to go to the setup URL provided in your welcome email. This will take you to a secure online form where you fill in a whole bunch of information about the look and feel of the form to go no your site, colors, text on the form etc. When you are done, the secure form will generate a HTML code at the bottom in a box (you will see it). Copy ALL the html and paste it into as many pages on your site as you like.

Only when you click on the "contact us" link on your site will it work as expected.

Another problem I'm having is with e-mail in general. I know how to give e-mail addresses, but how do I add a link on the Website so they can access their e-mail account.
You mean you want to give your users a a link to their webmail? Log into your personal control panel. There you will find direct individual links to Squirrelmail, Horde and Neomail. (I recommend horde). Simply right click on the links (or just click them) to see what they are. You can then paste those links into your pages on your site.

NOTE: Preferably use the SECURE links. They are much better.

Your users log into their webmail like so:

    username: user@domain.com (NOT just user.)
    password: ****
