Calling all artists/photographers

Here are a few picture of what I do for work. The picture are of a rack of 3" and 4" conduit I am installing at a new power plant. These conduits will have concrete poured around them to protect them. This is just one rack of conduit, we will eventually have around 700 miles of conduit in this job in less than one years time when the plant is up and running.

Now that looks like allot of work! Awesome pics. So if this is covered in concrete then if something goes wrong what is the process to troubleshoot where the problem has occurred?

Well, over the past few weeks I've taken allot of pics and here are some.

This is on the horizon across Lake Ontario from Southwicks Beach:

Where I live, Canada is located across the St. Lawrence River. Here are 2 pics I took from our downtown area:

I mentioned in the Battle thread that I had a second deer in my yard, in the back corner of the side yard that will get plowed over before winter to kill off all the growth you see. Then I can seed it and roll it in the spring so I have a nice yard and not a field, hahaha. Notice how nice this food is walking around for now. I got within bow range so my stalking skills are still good to go:

Deer = food

I have her on video as well. Cheech was coming around the other side of the house and soon as she saw her, she stopped and snorted. On the video you can see the blast of steam jet up from her nose and then she turned into the bush line and ran off.

Yeah, I like deer meat too. Deer burgers, deer roast, deer summer sausage, deer jerky.... like it all!

You see we electricians have it easy, our pipes don't have to hold air or water, just wire. After it is poured and backfilled then we will vacumn strings into the pipes. then the strings are used to pull ropes in that we use to pull the wire into the pipes.

The last pull I did on through a 4" conduit on this site I had 5500 foot pounds of pull on the rope when we pulled the wire in the pipe. That is part of the reason its poured in concrete. The other reason for concrete is so when other trades dig in their work they don't wreck our work.

That's a nice crop ypur growin' there and bein' from SE Texas, I ain't talkin' bout no weeds either. We had pure deer sausage for breakfast yesterday, no pork just lots of spice in the deer burger.

Rumor has it I can sniff out 1 part per million of venison in any dish, no matter how you mix it up or try to disguise it!

I'm a minority here, but I'm happy just watching them in their habitat and do their thing.

Bill, believe it or not, that deer is small.

That is what came to mind as I was taking this picture. This was taken at my grandmother's garden. I'm going to try to go over there again soon around sunset and take some pictures with the sunset in the background if I can.

With all you potograpic experts here, maybe one of you can answer a question that I have had for some time. Several years ago, when my wife and I were in West Virginia we came upon a wild flower called Iron Weed. We loved the look of it but every time we tried to take a picture of it the color on the picture was different than that on the actual flower. Can any of you explain what happened. It was a good camera but before the digital age. BTW, while by no means an expert I have taken a few pictures myself with my inexpensive digital camera. When I get them off the memory card I'll try to post a few.
