Let's get something straight here...I didn't lick the battery, I put my tongue on the + and - posts. (I assume you're talking about a 9V battery, like you use in toys). This was when I was a child, BTW.
Anyway, it was not, for me, a pleasant experience...and it won't happen again...unless someone decides to perform some recreational torture on me or something.

.... Boy, does this bring back memories. Yea, my brother and I 'did it' to see who could out last the other. Well, I did, but I had a very sore tongue for the next few days; and I talked real funny, too. I was trying not to use my tongue at all...........my dad laughed so hard he choked on his coffee when he heard about it. My mom just rolled her eyes and murmured something about 'shoud've had girls, instead'..............

PeterJ, I wasn't saying that someone had dared you...I was saying I think that someone had probably dared me, and that's why I did it.
Clear as mud?

You've tried it a few times?! Once wasn't enough for ya?
We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised. 1 Corinthians 4:10
I do it all the time!!!
Gotta check them before throwing them away, ya know?
Tastes like chicken.
"People do not drift toward holiness. Apart from grace-driven effort, people do not gravitate toward godliness, prayer, obedience to Scripture, faith, and delight in the Lord. We drift toward compromise and call it tolerance; We drift toward disobedience and call it freedom; We drift toward superstition and call it faith. We cherish the indiscipline of lost self-control and call it relaxation; we slouch toward prayerlessness and delude ourselves into thinking we have escaped legalism; we slide toward godlessness and convince ourselves we have been liberated?" - D A Carson
