View Full Version : Are you seeking God or the world?

Proverbs 28:1) The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

How does this verse apply to Christians? Hebrew 11:37) They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented)) Luke 14:26) If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.)) Absolutely nothing can come above God.
Concern over the temporal things can benefit of what good? “for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other” Are you seeking God more then the temporal? Many people’s eyes are set on the temporal rather then seeking the righteousness of God “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness”.
Where are your eyes focused because “it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail” The word of God can not fail yet sadly many neglect it, the word of righteousness, reproof, correction, and instruction which came from the Almighty God. Proverbs 2:4) If thou seekest for her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasure)). Wisdom and understanding come from God and must be sought more then five minutes a day, don’t deceive yourself, time is key, whether in prayer or in scripture seeking God.

Hi Copper, :)
We all need to continually evaluate our priorities in time and effort.
The things of this world will not last.
The only thing we can take with us is the fruit of the Spirit.
